first they gave us a wrong room; instead of a room with single double bed they gave us one with two single beds. when i told them this was not what we had paid for they scrambled to give us another one but the room was not very appealing so we ended up staying in the first room. the rooms are stuffy a bit and the hallways have this strange carpet. in […] retrospect i thought we could do much better in the nearby hotels for the same price. one good thing: the water pressure is amazing! "Close to everything, including the bad stuff."
I spent almost 3 weeks in Germany and Dusseldorf was the last stop of almost 10 cities. I only get 4 or better star hotels and always close to the action, but in this case, this was the worst of all the hotels in this trip to Germany. It was not a terrible hotel but definitely not a 4 star hotel (under the North American standards). It was a good price […] but it is in bad shape, many areas still smell like a smoking hotel, the front desk is friendly but never enough. "Sehr ordentlich, tolles Frühstück"
Das Zimmer war sehr ordentlich und sauber, wenn auch etwas langweilig eingerichtet. Kein Designhotel, aber sauber. Leider stand beim Nachbarzimmer ein Teller mehr als 15 Stunden vor der Tür, was auf unaufmerksamen Service schliesen lässt. Aber alles war sauber und angenehm.
