I had an enjoyable stay overall and would recommend. The room was a little warm and the A/C just barely blew out any air, thankfully the weather wasn't too hot. With the window open we were able to hear the train nearby regularly which was mildly annoying. Other than that, a very pleasant stay at a nice hotel.

The location surprised us. We expected it to be inconvenient to get to Salzburg old town, but instead it was easy. The hotel is on a major bus route with 4 bus lines outside your door. The train station AND the adjacent major bus hub was an easy 2-block walk. Whatever you do, don't believe that they have air condition!!! They might officially, but myself and every other guest I spoke with disagreed. It was so miserable we slept with the windows open and endured the sounds of traffic all night - but at least there was a breeze. I stayed here in early June '11 and booked two rooms for five adults that were travelling together through Europe. Overall, I can't recommend the hotel to anyone else. There are much better options in the same vicinity. The Best Western Steiglbrau is in a decent location. It's about an 8 minute walk from the hotel to the pedestrian bridge. It's also […] only a five minute or so walk from the train station to the hotel. But that's all that the hotel has going for it. The rooms are the main detractor to this hotel. They are old, and the furniture is outdated. We had a no smoking room, but clearly there was smoking going on in there, quite possibly by the last occupant. There was a cigarette burn in my bed. The street outside is noisy, and it's absoutely necessary to have the windows open at night to keep cool, so use earplugs if cars roaring by and trains within 100 meters might keep you up. The hotel just wasn't very nice. I recommend looking elsewhere. However, if nothing else is available in your price range, I guess consider it since the location of the place isn't too bad. It's easy to find the hotel from Salzburg Bahnhof, and the congress and Mirabell Palace are nearby. But the price is a little high if comparing with other hotels, and floor cleanness is bad in the room, it can't be a 4-star hotel from it's overall condition.

This is a hotel with all amenities and situated in the heart of the city yet close to all tourist spots. They have a separate room to keep the luggage after check-out time without any fees. We enjoyed the stay at this hotel and would recommend to anyone.

This hotel was WAY over priced compared to what you got. The room was a double and it was TEENY TINY! My spouse and I could barely move with 2 suitcases in teh room. The beds were very small as well. For the price of the room it was not worth it. Breakfast was not included and was an astounding 20E per person! I find this shameful and highway robbery […] at that. Hotellet höll Bestwestern-klass, förutom gällande frukosten som borde ingå i alla erbjudanden. Äter man lite till frukost känns inte tilläggspriset för detta ok. Rummet var ok för priset, men badrummet var inte helt fräscht. Servicen och bemötandet från hotellet skiftade, beroende på personal.

시설은 오래된 것 같았지만 나름 청결함을 유지하려고 애쓴것 같았습니다. 그렇지만 호텔앞과 옆으로 기차길과 찻길이 있었는데 호텔의 단창으로는 그 소음을 막기에는 역부족인것 같았습니다. 이중창이 시급한 것으로 보입니다. 다른 것은 전반적으로 그럭저럭 괜찮았던것 같습니다. 임라우어호텔계열이라는데 바로옆의 임라우어호텔잘츠부르그가 같은 가격에 좀 더 모던하고 좋아보였습니다.
