My husband and I along with a couple other friends stayed at this hotel during our German christmas holiday. We wanted to experience the German Christmas Markets and we were definitely impressed by how close to all three markets the Novotel was. This was our first time staying in a Novotel Hotel. We went to Koln to experience the 2013 Rosenmontag Event. The hotel is located in a great location (easy walk to the main center of Koln) and offers free parking which is a huge plus. The hotel's breakfast buffet was very good with a huge selection of items. The room we stayed in had a decent bed and […] sofabed pullout that our daughter slept on. The accommodations were a bit tight, but they worked for our one night stay. As a precaution, be prepared for very very tight shower accommodations with a high step up into the shower. Our family of four stayed here just before Christmas in order to visit the many Christmas markets on offer in Cologne. The hotel is perfect for that. Within easy walking distance to four of the six markets and the Lindt Chocolate Museum. The hotel is comfortable and clean and a very good breakfast, although get down to the restaurant early on the weekends […] as it's very crowded. As other reviews have mentioned the beds are slightly hard. The sofa bed seemed better so we all had at least one comfy nights sleep on that. We also parked our car in the secure underground parking for three days for a total of 14euro, which we thought was good value. We booked three rooms at the hotel. My partner and I along with our 6 month old had a lovely room on the non-smoking floor. No complaints about our room. Good size and comfortable. However, we had not thought to request non-smoking rooms for the rest of the family. So the other two rooms were very smoky which my non-smoking family werent too happy about. […] This didnt effect the comfort of the rooms. But just something to think about if you are booking a room as a non smoker. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for location and for comfort (lovely and clean). We stayed for three nights to visit the Christmas markets. It was a 5 minute walk to the fantastic river market at the Chocolate Museum where we went for dinner each evening. It is a nice hotel to stay with family. The downsize is the hotel is not near to Metro or Underground station. It takes 12-15 minutes walk from nearest Metro or Underground. Take Bus 132 from Köln Hauptbahnhof (Dom hbf) to Hotel is more convenient.

Perfect for what we needed. A spacious family room just 10 (very cold) minutes walk from the town centre. There were hotels nearer into town, but this was opposite a newly developed area which is very close to the Chocolate and Olympic museums - both of which were good for kids. The hotel seems very geared up for kids at the weekend - there's a kids' […] area and an X box and computers. They were welcoming to the children and didn't seem to mind them dashing around a bit. Wir hatten ein Zimmer für 3 Personen für eine Nacht ohne Frühstück gebucht. Das Bett und das Schlafsofa boten ausreichend Platz. Das Bad war recht klein, aber zweckmäßig. Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich.

Mooi hotel die toelaat om te verblijven met kinderen. Het ontbijt is er volledig zoals het hoort te zijn en het eten in het restaurant is er van goede kwaliteit. Enkele minpunten zijn, dat er meer kastruimte mag zijn in de kamers en dat het te warm was in de kamers en de airco niet werkte.

De keuze bij het ontbijt is ruim voldoende alleen kon het hotel al de mensen niet aan. Er werd gezegt dat je ook bij de bar of in de lounche kon gaan zitten omdat de ontbijtzaal meer dan vol was Daardoor waren de schalen ook regelmatig leeg

Hotellissa erinomainen palvelu, hyvät huoneet ja miellyttävät aamiais- ja ravintolamahdollisuudet. Ainoa selvä miinus on että hotelli sijaitsee hieman liian kaukana keskustasta, kävelemistä oli ainakin rattaiden kanssa liikaa, ja ympäristökin vähän tylsää (huoltamoita, konttoreita ym, ei kauppoja tms.).

Al enkele jaren gaan wij in december naar de Kerstmarkt in Keulen. Het hotel dat wij anders verbleven was bezet, dus weken we af naar het Novotel. Een erg verzorgd hotel op (flinke) loopafstand van het centrum Keulen. Helaas langs een drukke weg die je de hele nacht door hoort als je met een raam open slaapt.
