Great location for visiting the Dambusters site. The rooms are lovely and the village is very nice. The service was not the best as breakfast was supposed... to start at 7am but was more like 0745 so if you have an early start then don't bother paying for breakfast. Be wary of the city tax. This was applied to our booking twice. The rooms do not have tea and coffee making facilities and we found this in most of the hotels we stayed in in Germany so if you are keen for a brew then take a kettle with you. There seemed to be lots of other nice hotels in the area and i imagine we paid a premium for staying in the castle which you can visit even if you are not a resident.
