Just stayed at this hotel and had a fantastic time. If you drive it is right in the middle of town and they have valet parking. It is in walking distance to all different types of attractions plus there is a U-bahn station 200 meters away. The restaurant inside the hotel Ticno had excellent food and service. Now they say some rooms have balconies and I had one but they are only large enough for two people to stand next to each other on. The beds were very comfortable though a kingsize bed in Europe will typically be two beds pushed together. They bathroom was very large with a separate tub and shower. "First class, even by German standards!"
The hotel is very well situated in the very upclass financial centre of the city and is a short 3-4 min walk form the main shopping centre; less to the closest underground train station. The entrance area of the hotel is well landscaped with a nice patio eating/siting area fronting the 2x classy hotel restaurants. The entire area is very well maintained, […] which is indicative of the hotel in general. A very pleasant aroma greets you as you enter the reception and the staff are very friendly and all speak a high standard of English. The rooms are first class with an excellent standard of furnishing and a very comfortable bed. The duvet on the king-size bed consisted of 2x smaller duvets, which did not really appeal to my partner, but did to me. There are several UK channels on the standard in-room TV and a comfortable sofa to watch from. We were asked what day in our stay did we want the complimentary picnic, which we knew nothing of prior to arriving. It was supplied in a traditional wicker picnic basket and like everything else in the hotel was first class. We had a standard room for 4x nights and I believe we did not select any special arrangement that included this. The hotel pool, gym and health suite is also very nice and is all fitted out to a very high standard. "One to return to again & again"
This is a classy boutique style hotel with all the amenities you would expect for a 5*. The room was spacious & very comfortable, overlooking one of the canals. The bathroom was roomy & well equipped with a double walk-in shower & separate bath. The luxurious complimentary toiletries were a nice touch. At 26 euros each during our visit, it wasn't good value for money unless you have a huge appetite, which we don't. Instead, we ate at the local Starbucks which was only 3 or 4 minutes walk from the hotel entrance. The location of the hotel is perfect & very central, just tucked down a quiet street at the side of the Town Hall. We went on this trip to sample the Christmas markets which were awesome - especially the main one in front of the Town Hall.
