Best Western Hotel Hamburg International

I went to the hotel and the taxi pulled up to the front of a lovely place, and when I checked in I found that my room, along with many others, were in the annex out back! It was quiet, the view of the back of the hotel was wonderful! The laundry bag in my room had already been used, there was no list for laundry services to be found. The wireless internet […] as promised was free after you registered and gave them your email address which is now filling up with spam, and it was frequestly so slow I went to sleep watching the hourglass spin. Carpets were dirty in the room, and next door to "the annex" was a lady's fitness center that blared loud music every night from 7 to 9 so you have to keep your window closed. Of course there is the breakfast, or the dinner buffet neither of which was worth the trouble or the cost. And lets not forget the U-bahn ride just to get into the city where everything is that you will want to see. Take my advice and choose another hotel in the city. Read more

I was not satisfied with this hotel at all. We booked a non-smoking room and got a smoking room with cigarette burns on the table and carpet. We were told that everything else was booked. On top of that, the room was old and smelly. It was more like a 2 star hotel or more like a motel. Very depressing decor, very small uncomfortable beds and low lighting. […] The next morning we asked for another room and we told that everything was booked. Only upon insisting did we get another room but once again, a smoking room! At least this room was bigger and had more light. We had to air out the room everyday to get the smoke smell out. The room was still pretty old and depressing. There are a couple of restaurants around and a pretty inexpensive supermarket a block away. Otherwise, you have to hop on the train for 4-5 stop to get to the center. Overall, I was not satisfied with my stay here and would not recommend this place to anyone. Read more

Das Hotel hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das 3-Bett-Zimmer war schön geräumig und sehr sauber. Obwohl es in einem ruhigen Stadtviertel liegt, sind die City und die Elbterrassen in wenigen U-Bahnstationen zu erreichen (U-Bahn nur wenige Meter vom Hotel entfernt). Das Frühstück war sehr gut.

Es wurde vorab keine genaue Anreisezeit angegeben, uns wurde gesagt das Zimmer ist bis 15 Uhr fertig. Wir kamen um 15 Uhr zurück und fanden ein unafgeräumtes Zimmer vor: Der Mülleimer war voll, das Bad war schmutzig, Im Bett lag noch Unterwäsche/Schlafanzug vom Vormieter (ist wohl im Haus intern umgezogen). Daraufhin bekamen wir ein neues Zimmer. Als […] wir im Zimmer waren kam ohne Anklopfen einfach die Putzfrau ins Zimmer (!). Es bleibt festzuhalten das es offenbar nicht möglich war zwischen dem Auszug der Vormieter um 12 Uhr in drei Stunden das Zimmer zu reinigen. Als wir um 17 Uhr gegangen sind war die Reinemachfrau übrigens noch immer mit dem Zimmer welches uns zuerst gegeben wurde beschäftigt! Read more

Das Hotel liegt direkt an einer hauptstrasse es ist laut mittags auf der barterasse versteht man sein eigenes Wort nicht. Das Zimmer ansich ist zwar zweckgemas aber absolut altbacken man hat den Schein in die 60er zurück zu gehen . Kopfkissen trotz 4maliger faltung nur 2cm dick Daunendecken im Sommer (ja ist denn schon Weihnachten) .aus dem Bad kommt […] der Geruch von Kloake ekelhaft. Ich finde es schade das man so eine Werbung Auffahrt für so ein "armes" Hotel nicht zu empfehlen. Read more
