Went to this hotel because it is the closest to the airport (except some above my budget). The rooms are good. The shuttle is frequent, but a bit difficult to find. However one can even walk there (20 minutes) - go left for about 15 minutes, then right, over a viaduct over the autobahn. The breakfast is very expensive (20 euro) if one is not very hungry. "Friendly staff, close to FRA airport, very noisy"
This NH hotel represents excellent (superior) value for the money. Extremely clean rooms, outstanding staff and very welcoming. That said, the hotel is on the approach end of the new Northwest runway, and from 5am until 11pm, the jet noise is very noticable. If the airconditioning worked better, one could close the windows and avoid the majority of […] the noise, but as with most German/European hotel rooms, the A/C is dodgy at best, and doesn't really do more than move the air around inside the room. The NH Frankfurt Airport was a perfect overnight stop. The front desk staff were very friendly, the room was nice and the shuttle got me to the airport right on time. "Terrible Service - Average Hotel at best"
Upon arriving at FRA airport, I walked outside to the hotel shuttle area and attempted to call the shuttle for the NH. No answer the first time. I then called the hotel directly and the lady at the front desk said they come every 20 mins (it was 9:30pm at that point). I waited until 9:55pm and still no shuttle. I called back and the same lady gave me […] the same answer and then asked where I was (Terminal, etc). She then said call the shuttle again. I walked over and called the shuttle and finally someone answered and then told me it would be another 20 mins. I finally arrived at the hotel at 10:30pm after waiting outside for almost 50 minutes. Upon arrival, they offered me a free breakfast for my "trouble" which was nice. My main issue here is the general attitude of front desk woman. She never apologized or even addressed the fact that the miscommunication was NH's fault, not mine. I understand that miscommunications happen but I will not tolerate indifferent customer service, etc. I usually stay at the Sheraton when flying into FRA and will continue to do so in the future. I arrived about 9pm- shuttle bus was only a 10 minute wait- they run every 15 or so. Drivers are friendly. Threw my bags in the room and wend down to get dinner. Når jeg ankom Frankfurt kom det buss fra NH hotel nesten umiddelbart. Etter hva jeg leste meg fram til så skulle jeg kjøre med buss nr 3 etter den adressen jeg fikk fra Hotels.com. Sjåføren på buss nr 1 ba meg imidlertid bli med han. Når jeg ankom hotellet så sjekket jeg inn som normalt og alt var greit. På kvelden reiste jeg ned til sentrum og skulle […] hjem senere på kvelden med taxi. Jeg oppga adressen jeg hadde fått fra Hotels.com og endte opp på feil NH hotel. Før jeg fikk oppklart det hadde jeg fått en taxiregning på 85 €. Hotellet jeg hadde var helt ok, men at de flytter meg til et annet NH hotell uten at jeg får beskjed om det kostet meg denne gang en taxiregning på 85€ istedet for 30 som jeg fikk oppgitt at var "normalpris" på kveld.
