Prenzlauer Berg is Berlin's premier café district, and the trendiest address in town. Scarred in the war and left untouched during communist rule, buildings have now been renovated and property values continue to rise. There are weekly street markets on Kollwitzplatz and Helmholtzplatz, and breweries in the Kulturbrauerei and Pfefferberg. The painter Max Liebermann is buried in the Jewish Cemetery.

"Günstig, sauber und leckeres Frühstück. Leider etwas laut."
Das Hotel ist durch seine "Neuheit" in einem sehr guten Zustand. Die Zimmer sind sauber ordentlich und die Ausstattung fast ungenutzt. Zu erwähnen sind die schmalen Betten. Beleibte Personen seien gewarnt. Im Bad gibt es mittlerweile Handtuchhalter. Leider funktioniert dort die Heizung nicht, aber die im Zimmer ist dafür sehr leistungsstark. Ein sehr […] großer Nachteil ist die Umgebung des Hotels. Die Zimmer haben eine komplette Fensterfront, was sehr schön ist. Nur leider steht das Hotel in einer Art Hinterhof, sodass man abends die Vorhänge zuziehen muss, damit niemand hineinsehen kann. Zudem fährt vor dem Hotel die Straßenbahn in regelmäßigen Abständen, was ziemlich laut ist. Das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet und mit viel Liebe angerichtet! Sehr zu empfehlen. Einen Fernseher kann man sich für 3,- EUR Gebühr pro Tag ausleihen. Wichtig ist, noch zu erwähnen, dass das Hotel eine Art Jugendherberge ist (eben for youth).
