Prenzlauer Berg is Berlin's premier café district, and the trendiest address in town. Scarred in the war and left untouched during communist rule, buildings have now been renovated and property values continue to rise. Andel's exceed my expectations and was great value for money. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The only annoyance was a snapping sound from the walls at night. The reception also charged me for a mineral water I did not consume but agreed to refund the amount when I pointed out the error. "Andels Berlin Hotels - a genuine 4 star"
This is a new hotel in Berlin, which is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Its not central but is adjacent to the S-Bahn. You can get the S9 from Schonefeld Airport and have a short walk from Landsberger Allee stop, which is on the S-Bahn-Ring. Jeg rejser meget i løbet af et år, og har opholdt mig på mange hoteller. Ca. 8-10 gange om året er jeg i Berlin. Det er første gang at jeg valgte et ophold på Andel´s hotel, hvilket jeg ikke fortrød. Det nyrestaurerede hotel, er blevet lækkert. To gode restauranter, parkering i kælderen, værelserne fine med stort badeværelse. Der er fri internet, hvis […] man kan leve med lavere hastighed. På toppen af hotellet ligger "Skybar" hvor de tjenerne har fået flere priser for Tysklands bedste cocktails. De dyreste cocktails kostede 10 euro. "Location is wrong"
Comfortable hotel,but very large, so it is completely lacking in "charm". The main issue, however, is the location. I am a frequent visitor to Berlin and there is no reason to stay in this neighbourhood. It is far from everywhere and the immediate neighborhood is pretty drab. Das Hotel liegt mitten in der Plattenbauidylle von Friedrichshain. Für Nutzer des ÖPNV ist das ein großer Vorteil, da es am S-Bahn-Ring liegt und mehrere Trambahnstrecken vor der Haustür hat. Sehr schönes großes Zimmer und ebensolches Bad. Dafür ist der Kasten ist spärlich ausgefallen. Zu zweit wird es sehr eng und ein Abendkleid hat leider nicht Platz. "4* hotel in the east"
Andel's Hotel is a newly made 4* hotel, I see it as a mixture of a boutique hotel and a semi-luxury hotel. This is not Adlon or Hotel de Rome, it is not an opulent hotel, more towards a modernist feel. The rooms are modern with a large separate room with bath tub and shower. TV and internet connection in the room. The price of the hotel was competitive […] when the hotel quality is considered. There was a bar at the top floor with a great view of the city but the feel was not so much a club feel more a standard bar feel. Maybe it is better over the weekend. A standard double room was a little on the smaller side but the quality was high and the room was clean. The breakfast was included in the price and they had a high quality buffet that compares well to to the standard found at five star luxury hotels. There wasn't any bathrobes in the rooms, only if one rents an executive suite, this I found rather strange. They charge for internet usage in the rooms though not excessive in fees, I think maximum would be € 15 for 24 hours but the charge is hourly based. Whenever I had to download larger files like video, the speed was very slow, a file that normally takes me 1 minute to download took up to 45 minutes ! But general internet surfing was fine. Huge parking area located conveniently under the hotel, they charge for parking, tough not excessive. But I would have preferred a little lower charge as a staying guest. There is a S-station (the circle line) just outside the hotel. The hotel is conveniently located if one has to hit the northern part of Berlin all the way over to Westkreutz. Alternatively one can use the tram stopping just outside the hotel to reach Alexander Platz, this takes about 10 minutes. There is not much to do in the local area, you stay at the hotel and then you leave for other areas. All in all the experience was pleasant and cost effective.
