Aldea Novum Berlin Centrum

I usually stay at a hostel but found the price of this hotel too good to pass up. It was clean and quiet. Well, quiet on the inside. Outside someone screamed at least once a night from the street below. I liked having a safe in my room.

Perfect location in central western Berlin, right on the U2. Exactly as described and then some, huge spacious room, very clean great breakfast buffet, staff were helpful and bilingual. Would definitely stay here again...

I found the hotel to be very comfortable and easy to get to by public transportation. From the main train station Berlin Hbf, you go outside main door and across the path to catch the M85 bus and it takes you to the Bulowstrasse Stop (a 20 to 25 minute easy ride through town) and Bulowstrasse is also a metro (subway) stop as well but from the train […] station it requires a few changes to get there you're much better off with the one bus. I really liked the neighborhood it's diverse and some good restaurants and it's a straight walk about 15 minutes to get to #2 stop on the hop-on-hop off bus route which was great but it also turned out to be easy walking to lots of great things including maybe a 25 minute walk to Check Point Charlie and the remnants of the Berlin Wall. The room was large and comfortable so I recommend it for anyone on a budget who also enjoys walking. Read more

This hotel was conveniently located. I was able to catch one bus and transfer to one train to my hotel. Once there, the staff was very nice, breakfast was terrific and I was able to walk to the major shopping areas and nigthlife.

We stayed at this hotel when arriving in Berlin and again the night before leaving. Friendly staff, clean rooms, great breakfast. Fast free in room wireless Internet. This hotel was amazing, seriously! the train stop is RIGHT ACROSS the street and it takes you STRAIGHT to Alexanderplatz and to all the connecting trains that will take you to the city center...which is REALLY CLOSE to this hotel...breakfast is AWESOME!!! I definitely recommend this place to everybody! I cannot say enough about it, seriously.

I would highly recommend this hotel - it is centrally located right at the Bulowstrasse U-bahn stop. It was clean and quiet (I asked for a room away from the street as the hotel does face the U-ban tracks), with tons of restaurants, grocery stores and a bakery right down the road. Comments about the prostitutes are overblown - 1 major block away on Kurfersenstrasse is the old red light district, and they do drift down toward Bulowstrasse, but they do not bother anyone. Good location on the edge of Berlin City Centre. Two minutes walk from the U-Bahn station and major bus routes to Potsdam Platz. Very helpful and friendly reception staff. English is widely spoken. Clean and tidy spacious room. Good power shower. Hotel had been decorated since I last stayed. Wide selection for breakfast. It is one of my favourites.

The hotel is very good and in the centre of Berlin, making it easy to visit many attractions. The only thing that I didn't like is the internet service which was not that good. I had to go to the lobby and still the signal is week and it takes sometime to sign up.

This hotel is great with a fantastic breakfast and a good bistro bar. The Metro is outside and takes you to the Brandenburg Gate and Alexanderplatz . Other reviews have mentioned prostitutes outside but don't let this put you off, they are in the side street and are only interested in the curb crawlers so walking past is hassle free.

Enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Close to subway station. Excellent breakfast with nice mix of meat, cheese, yogurts and cereals. The surrounding neighborhood can seem a bit questionable at night time but no one will bother you. Excellent value for money and staff are very helpful!

First stayed here in September with my sister. When we were returning to Berlin in February for a wedding we recommended the whole family to book this hotel. The bus is straight outside the door and a U bann just up the road. The staff are very helpful and the rooms are spacious and clean. Aldea Novum is a great budget hotel. Ideally located for underground. Staff were very friendly and efficient, nothing was too much trouble.
