"Very convenient location."
The U-Bahn station is just a couple minutes from the hotel, then it's one station from the shopping district of Kurfürstendamm and 20 minutes to the hauptbahnhof. Our room was relatively large for Europe. The windows open to an enclosed courtyard, which had a burst of noise in the mornings. "Hotel With Character"
The hotel has a great location with many sights, places to eat, and public transportation stops within a ten minute walk. The room was fair in size with high ceilings. The staff were very helpful and spoke English. The hotel has the "feel" of the city--it has character. The weather was warm during our visit and our room did not have air conditioning […] so we had to sleep with the windows open. "Close to restaurants and subway"
We rented two rooms in different sections of the hotel. Both had modern bathrooms which was a nice surprise given that the building is older and the rooms are not air conditioned. Most of the hotel is well maintained, but the carpeting on the steps is showing some wear, and only one TV station came in clearly. Also, the elevators are extremely small. […] While the hotel offers a large breakfast, the price is high, so we opted to get breakfast at a lovely cafe just down the street each morning. The hotel is about a ten minute walk from the Zoo train/bus station. This station provides a good starting point for getting around Berlin. The hotel was in a quiet location but there are plenty of bars/restaurants within a couple minutes walk. The hotel was clean and the staff courteous and helpful. Chambres et hotel en général très propres, rien à redire. Personnel souriant et efficace. Chambre confortable quoiqu'un tout petit peu froide (hauts plafonds). WiFi gratuit sans condition, fonctionne correctement. Emplacement super, à 2 minutes à pied de la station de métro Ernst-Reuter Platz, à 10-15 minutes du centre ville et attractions touristiques. […] Petits cafés à deux pas de l'hotel si on ne veut pas petit-déjeuner à l'hotel. Petit déjeuner à l'hotel: buffet libre, très bon, beaucoup de choix, attention: non inclus dans prix basique de la chambre. Hotel Gates Novum ligger i nära anslutning till Tekniska universitetet. Det tar inte lång tid (typ 10 min) att gå upp till Kürfurstendamm med all dess möjligheter till shopping och vidare resa inom Berlin. Hotellet låg väldigt centralt i Västberlin och avståndet till Zoologischer Garten var ung. 500m. Väldigt fint hotell, fastän rummen var mindre än vad jag trodde, detta gjorde ingenting då kvaliteten på rummen var toppen. Nära till U-Bahnstationen Ernst Reuter Platz(100m) vilket var bekvämt. "Godt hotel til prisen"
Renhed på værelset var fint. Tæt på U-bahn der tager små 25 min. til Alexander Platz. Området har mange restauranter, cafeer, bagere (eller hvad man skal kalde det). Kan anbefale indisk restaurant tæt på, som var billig og god, da flere af de andre var ret dyre. Supermarked: Aldi ligger 10 min. gang derfra. Det samme gør Ulrich, som ligger tæt på Zoo. […] Der var internet på værelset, men blev "snydt" for det sidste døgn, da vi overnattede 4 dage, men kun fik 3. Det virkede, men man skulle logge på og taste brugernavn og kode, hvis man havde været væk, bare 5 min., hvilket var ret besværligt (svært at "fange" login siden og den gemte ikke brugernavn og kode selvom man bedte om det) men det virkede. Der sad nogle i receptionen 24-7, hvis man skulle have brug for at tale med dem, og de virkede flinke. Værelset var fint, men der er ikke køleskab og bortset fra et enkelt billede på væggen var det ikke specielt inspirerende, men vi skulle jo også bare sove og slappe af der. Medmindre du er til tysk tv, eller CNN skal man heller ikke forvente meget på den front. Jeg havde en skiftende oplevelse af søvnen på hotellet. 2 nætter sov jeg fint, 2 nætter sov jeg ikke. Hovedpuden var alt for blød til min smag, og specielt den sidste nat var der en lavfrekvent brummelyd, hver gang jeg lagde hovedet på puden, hvilket resulterede i at jeg ingen søvn fik. Fantastisk område med gode spisesteder. Hotellets morgenmad var ok, men bestemt ikke noget særligt. Svært at parkere i området, og vi blev henvist til et område med fri parkering ca. 500 meter derfra.
