Built during the Berlin Airlift in 1948, Tegel Airport is located eight kilometres north of the Berlin central station, connected by bus TXL. Air Berlin flies from terminal C whereas all other airlines operate from A and B. Tegel is known for its convenience and efficiency, and the unique hexagon shape of terminals A and B makes walking distances short. It is due to close in 2011 for the expansion of Schönefeld Airport.

"convenient to airport"
A perfectly decent but not exciting hotel convenient to Tegel airport. The staff are helpful. As other reviewers pointed out, you can hear the plane overhead until fairly late in the evening, but it didn't really bother me.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"1970's decor, not for pc users but clean"

Very good. The food was very expensive but luckily it is within walking distance to a mall and some restaurants and Underground Subway. There is a microwave, ref, in the room making the nearby supermarket very convenient. Another GREAT PLUS is there is FREE WIFI in the room. Response by Dorint Airport-Hotel Berlin-Tegel Vielen Dank für Ihre Beurteilung. Sie können auf direktem Weg mit dem Bus 128 zum Flughafen Tegel fahren. Die Haltestelle befindet sich 50 m vom Hotel entfernt. Die Fahrzeit zum Flughafen betägt 10 Min.
