Formerly the centre of East Berlin, Mitte is split down the middle by Unter den Linden and contains nearly all of Berlin's key churches, museums, theatres and memorials. The Fernsehturm (TV tower) by Alexanderplatz offers the best view over Berlin. Museums include the Pergamon, National Gallery, Bode and the Old Museum. The Red City Hall and the Dom (cathedral) are close to the museums.

The hotel is in a great location, close to the S and U bahn. The breakfast is pricy so we skipped it. The WiFi is pricy, too. WiFi in a hotel should be free! I paid 3 euros for 3 hours. I actually thought I was staying at a different Holiday Inn in Berlin, but had picked the wrong one while using Expedia. So I had to make some last minute travel adjustments to get to where my reservation was. I was very pleased with the room and the overall service of the motel. While the building itself is old, the amenities in the hotel made our stay very comfortable. They had a bowl for food and water in the room for our dog, and a very comfortable cot for our baby. Room service was great, the breakfast was very good. The location of this hotel is incredibly convenient...just steps away from gesundbrunnen which will get […] you anywhere in Berlin. "Great staff"
A friendly greeting when we arrived and the room was made available even though we arrived at 11am. The only complaint is that there is only 1 lift serving 8 floors. We enjoyed a suprisingly good meal in the hotel restaurant at a reasonable price - with excellent service. We chose breakfast at a Turkish restaurant literally only 50 metres from the hotel. […] The railway station (in 2 parts) is some 300 metres away with an excellent service to all sights - its worth taking the time to work out the system. A tip if there are 4 or 5 in the party - buy a one day small group pass for 15 euros - it gives unlimited travel on trains and buses. Der Aufenthalt insgesamt war OK. Die Zimmer waren sauber. Im Zimmer selber waren leider keinerlei Hinweise zum Hotel. So hätte man z.B. die Sauna, wenn man vorher nicht informiert gewesen wäre, nie gefunden. Die Sauna selber ist recht klein, max. 4 Leute sitzend. Handtücher gibt es dort reichlich, auch stehen einige Fitnessgeräte dort zur Verfügung. […] Im Zimmer angekommen, muss man, bei 5°C Außentemperatur, erstmal das Fenster schließen um nicht zu erfrieren. Das Gleiche gilt fürs Badezimmer, erstmal unters Waschbecken kriechen und die Heizung anstellen. Die Lautstärke mit geschlossenem Fenster war dann ganz OK in der Nacht, obwohl draußen Kopfsteinpflaster verlegt ist. Das Frühstücksangebot ist gut, verschiedene Brötchen, Rührei, Speck, div. Würstchen über gefüllte Pfannkuchen... alles auch ziemlich lecker. Was jedoch nicht geht ist a) der Preis von 17€ und b) der Service. Anstelle jemand mit einer Liste dahin zu stellen, dass auch garantiert jeder erfasst wird, sollten sich mehr Leute um die Gäste kümmern. Ein Hotel ohne Höhen und Tiefen. Beim Frühstück wird es aber heikel. 17 € pro Person ist selbst für ein Büffett recht happig. Bestilte familie værelse og fik to store sammenhængende værelser med 2 dobbeltsenge og en ekstra opredning. 3 store børn og deres forældre havde rigtig god plads. Nem adgang til offentlige transportmidler og personalet var meget hjælpsomme med kort over byen og banesystemet. 2 voksne og 3 små barn fikk god plass i familierom. At hotellet ikke ligger midt i sentrum, passet oss som barnefamilie bra. Gode kommunikasjoner inntil sentrum. God service og ok frokostmeny. Vi var 5 personer afsted i uge 42 - 2010, 2 voksne og 3 teeneagere. Vi havde booket en familiesuite. Det viste sig at være et super værelse, dog med alle 5 senge i samme rum, men med tilstødende tv-stue og et meget stort badeværelse. I receptionen mødte vi kun hjælpsom personale og hver morgen nød hele familien den lækre morgenbuffet. Eneste kritikpunkt […] er at der kan være ventetid på et ledigt/opryddet bord ved morgenmaden...
