Formerly the centre of East Berlin, Mitte is split down the middle by Unter den Linden and contains nearly all of Berlin's key churches, museums, theatres and memorials. The Fernsehturm (TV tower) by Alexanderplatz offers the best view over Berlin. Museums include the Pergamon, National Gallery, Bode and the Old Museum. The Red City Hall and the Dom (cathedral) are close to the museums.

We give this hotel 3 out of 5 stars. The personnel were friendly and the rooms were clean. It was very close to a large shopping mall which made it convenient. Internet was down for a few days which inconvienced us. However, it was Christmas holidays so we made allowance for their delayed response to getting the internet up and running. This is a Holiday Inn hotel, so they do have they chain standards. The hotel is nice but old. Definitaly should be renovated. There's only 1 lift, which is very slow, and you might find yourself waiting for a couple of minutes. There's no Aircon, only heating. The price was really good and it is located right near the S line. However the location of the room (near the garage) was such that after taking an elevator, I still had to carry my luggage down a set of stairs and through a narrow doorway. Service was not very good, no kindness in the restaurante and in the fron t desk usually out of stock of one hour internet service, so we had to buy a 12 hs. service without discount. "It's ok, but not all that"
The hotel is really close to a station with different lines which allows you to move around the city easily, there is also a shopping centre and a few coffee shops around. The location is not as central as you would expect however it is not bad. A taxi from Alexanderplatz is around 10 euros.The hotel however doesn't feel like a 4 stars,more like a 3 […] stars. Breakfast is 17 euros which is a bit expensive. No coffee or tea facilities in the room, no iron in the room, although they give you a key for another room where you can iron your clothes. Wifi is 10 euros for 24 hrs which you can spread throughout your stay as long as you log off. My real problem with the hotel is that there is no air conditioner and you have to open the windows to get some fresh air which is not that much. Also, we were staying on the 1st floor and because we have to keep the windows open it is quite loud and we could hear all the cars driving in front of the hotel which was not pleasant at night and a bit disturbing. We asked for a fan at reception and they didn't have one. If you plan to stay here, please make sure it is not in the summer and request a top floor and a room not facing the main road. "Misleading name"

The room was a smoking room which stunk of smoke, there were no other rooms available. The cost of breakfast 16euros is extortionate. Kein besonders hervorragendes Holiday Inn, aber dennoch für den Preis absolut ok. Unüblicher Weise hatte das Zimmer noch kein Flachbild-TV. Meine Buchung umfaßte zwei Nächte. Der Preis ist sehr günstig. Dafür zugebuchtes Frühstück und Tiefgerage doch im Preis für die Hotelklasse überhöht. Pro Person 17, bzw.12 Euro ist meines Erachtens Überzogen, zumal kein Parkplatz vor dem Hotel zu bekommen ist. Die vorhandenen Parkplätze sollten den Hotelgästen vorbehalten sein. Wir haben 2 Nächte im Hotel verbracht. Die Buchung war sehr komplikationslos. Jedoch war das Zimmer extrem aufgeheizt, was sich nachts auch nicht durch offene Fenster abkühlte. An Schlafen war dann nicht zu denken, da Berlin NIE schläft!!! Leider hat die Minibar die Getränke nicht gekühlt - sie war wohl defekt. Seitdem die H-I-Hotels in einer Art Franchise betrieben werden, geht es immer mehr bergab. Es wird nicht(s) mehr inverstiert, alles ist abgewohnt, muffig, klamm, kalt, schimmlig, unbehaglich. Die Matratzen sind z.T. durchgelegen und die Kissen minderwertig(er). Das Frühstück glänzt durch Einheitswurst aus der verschweißten Tüte. Tilfredsstillende rengøring og god central beliggenhed i forhold til U-bane med mulighed for at parkere i garage.Helheds-oplevelsen var ok men midelmæssigt. Hotellet er meget varmt, selv om udetemperaturen var omkring 20 grader, så vi manglende aircondition/ventilation, meget dyr morgenmad over hundrede kr. pr. person, det er bare for dyrt ! Nabolaget […] er mere en bråget fornøjelse, da det føles, at der er flere indvandrere end tyskere i området og fint med det, det føles bare ikke som at være i tyskland. Ellers tilfredsstillende. "Godt og billig hotell, men det ligger ikke i Mitte"
Rent og pent hotell, hyggelig og hjelpsom stab. Veldig treg heis i resepsjonen, bruk heller heisen ved garagen. Hotellet ligger ikke i Berlin Mitte (I følge Berlinere) men ved Tyrkisk-dominerte Gesundtbrunnen ca. 5 km. fra Alexanderplatz. Stor U og S-bahn stasjon rett ved, så det er meget lett å komme seg rundt i Berlin herifra. Man når det meste i […] Berlin uten overgang. 2,10 € med S/U-bahn og ca. 12 € med taxi fra Alexanderplatz.
