Radisson Blu Hotel, Berlin

The hotel was amazing. It was close to two train stations and many attractions were available in within 5 minutes walking distance, including, museum Island which house the Pergamum Museum and the Neus Museum. Next door to the hotel is the Berlin Dom which is the oldest cathedral in Germany and on the other side is the Berlin Aquarium. About a mile […] down the street is the Brandenburg gate. You also have the TV tower 5 mins from the hotel walking. The Hotel is as impressive as you see it on the pictures. The aquarium at the center of the lobby is amazing. The entire staff speaks english and are supper friendly. There are cabs lined up outside the hotel, so you can hop in any of them without problems. Also right outside there is a bus stop which you can also use. Over all I would definitely stay again. The rooms are specious and spa is really good, with a gym, sauna, steam room, and heated pool. Beautiful hotel, great location and great price made for a memorable stay in Berlin. Easy access via TXL bus from Tegel airport. Alexanderplatz is about 5 minutes away as is Hackescher market. Museum island is just steps from the hotel entrance and shopping along Friedrichstrasse is also about 5-10 min. away. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. […] The lobby is amazing with that huge cylindrical fish tank and the glass elevators. The room was beautiful: Berliner dom view and remarkably large. Very modern contemporary decor and all the amenities: safe, coffee maker, ironing board, hair dryer etc. Lots of closet space, quite spacious bathroom all very clean and modern. Free wifi was really useful and the breakfast included in my room rate was fantastic. The view of the Berliner dom from the restaurant was great. Finally, loved the spa facility with free saunas, steamroom and pool. Note that here, swimwear is NOT recommended/required. A great place to relax after an intense day of walking and sightseeing. My stay could not have been better even if the December weather was grey and cold. Would absolutely stay here again and strongly recommend the Radisson Blu. Read more

We were very happy with our hotel stay. The people working at the hotel were very helpful and friendly. It has a huge beautiful fish tank in the center of hotel lobby. The neighborhood and the location were nice and close to most museums. We definitely will stay here again the next time we are in Berlin.

Great time. The only complaint we had was that it was so hot outside that our room airconditioning couldn't seem to keep up. We were on the sixth floor and our room was very warm even with the air turned as low as it would go.

From the moment we walked into the foyer and greeted by Alexander at the front desk we knew that our time at Radisson Blu and Berlin was going to be memorable. The hotel is conveniently located in Mette, adjacent to the Dom and on the banks of the River Spree. The huge fish tank in the centre of the hotel provides a restful ambience for the lobby area. […] The rooms are spacious with lots of little extras such as a Nespresso machine (with pods of course!). Cleanliness is a high priority and this is achieved while giving due consideration to the environment. The concierge was extremely helpful and provided plenty of sound advice and was able to secure a tour of the Reichstag dome at quite short notice. Fantastic location being right at Alexanderplatz. Our room looked out onto the huge aquarium in the centre of the hotel. Very relaxing! The hotel is fairly new and the facilities are wonderful.

The staff, every one of them, from reception through to housekeeping, were attentive, polite and charming. Food and beverage was of an extremely high calibre and not unduly expensive for a five star hotel. Our room didn't have a view really, but it didn't much matter, the room itself was beautifully clean and well appointed and we weren't in Berlin […] to sit in our room! It goes without saying the mega fishtank in the middle is stunning and it's a great bar for people watching. If I had one minor gripe it would be the seating for breakfast which is a bit chaotic, but with (I would guess) over a hundred different food and drink items to choose from, hey, who cares!! The Radissin Blu is ideally situated for access - 5 minutes from Alexanderplatz station, with trains, S- and U-Bahn connections, bus and tram. It is on the banks of the River Spree, directly opposite the imposing Berlin cathedral and within easy walking distance of many shops, restaurants and bars as well as the Museum Island, which is home to four […] of the city's major museums. A short bus ride takes you along the iconic Unter den Linden boulevard, past the Opera, Humboldt University en route to the Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag. As with all 5* establishments, the Radisson Blu has excellent facilities, with a 'Wellness' centre, with pool, saunas, steam rooms and a small gym area which are all free to use and the restaurant, lobby bar and breakfast room are all spacious and comfortable with excellent choices of food and drink. Rooms are large and well-equipped, with free wi-fi throughout the hotel. We were particularly impressed with the staff, who were unfailingly helpful without being overbearing and were all well-trained and professional. After the first contact they would be able to greet guests by name, which is always a good sign. We stay here whenever possible on our regular visits to Berlin and would recommend it anyone looking for a comfortable and luxurious environment which retains the personal touch and does not have inflated prices. Raddison Blue Berlin is a fabulous Hotel. I had walked into the foyer about 3 years ago on a previous visit and loved the Aquarium...sounds cheezy but its fabulous...so booked for this trip. We booked online and upon check in were offered an upgrade at a small cost to a room directly opposite Berliner Dom. The location of the hotel at Unter Den Linden […] and Musem Island makes it difficult to beat for in Berlin. But Berlin is amazing...we all know that ...just allow more time there. Berliners are great...from friendly cab drivers to restaurannt staff...everyone is on some kind of friendliness drug. The Hotel itself and and the staff are fabulous. We travel a lot and after staying in the Radison Hamburg the day before will be making an effort to look for a Radison Blu wherever we go. One fault....undrinkable coffee...we ordered a Cappucino at breakfast ...it was so bad we reverted to the pot! But this is a very small gripe. The Hotel and room were very modern and nice and the front desk staff very helpful and efficient. The only negative points are: 1. There was no in-room coffee/tea maker, not even a kettle,2. No bathrobe or bedroom slippers were provided and 3. Bath amenities were limited to just soap, shampoo (no conditioner) body lotion and a shower cap. This was surprising […] and pretty disappointing as I would have expected these minimum amenities from a 5 star hotel.The hotel is also quite a walk(although not unpleasant) from the nearest S/U bahn station. Das Hotel ist wirklich sehr schön, ideal gelegen und hat eine atemberaubend schöne Lobby. Das riesengroße Aquarium in der Lobby gehört allerdings zu Sealife Berlin. Möchte man den Lift innerhalb des Aquarium nutzen, muss man Eintrittskarten erwerben. Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption haben wir als sehr arrogant, unaufmerksam und unfreundlich empfunden. […] Ebenfalls ist uns ein sehr junger Concierge unangenehm aufgefallen. Im Wellnessbereich des Hotels gehen beide Daumen nach oben. Tolles Team, nette Atmosphäre, sauber und vollkommen ausreichend für ein Wellnessbereich im Hotel. Auch der Frühstücksbereich war sehr angenehm. Während unsereres Aufenthalts wurde das Frühstück im Restaurant "Heat" eingenommen. Bästa möjliga läge på utomordentligt fint hotell, vars service var utöver det vanliga. Vi hade valt Business room, med utsikt mot Berliner Dom och inklusive frukost (värt mycket!) Kan varmt rekommenderas till alla, oavsett syfte med resan. For anden gang benyttede vi hotellet, og det vil ikke være sidste gang. Hotellet har en god standard uden at være for fornemt. Et plus, at man kan købe bus/togbilleter på hotellet. Værelset var ikke rengjort, da vi kom tilbage lørdag eftermiddag, men det blev hurtigt rettet. Det var et super ophold for en familie på 2+2. Fik 2 værelser med udsigt mod Alexander Platz efter vores ønske, og dør mellem værelser blev åbnet så at børnene kunne rende frit uden at skulle ud på gangen. Den bedste og største morgenmads buffet vi har oplevet pt. og med plads til børn og deres ønsker.
