Family-friendly resort located on Flamingo Beach
The only resort located directly on Flamingo Beach, an ecologically protected beach. It features 120 total guest rooms. The resort's main pool includes a swim-up pool bar and a separate covered children's pool to protect small children from the sun.
Resort amenities
The resort offers guests a complimentary daily activities program. Additional optional activities include an on-site water sports center with boogie board rentals, jet ski tours, and ATV tours. A luxury spa with a wide variety of treatments and a beauty salon for hair, manicures, and pedicures is also conveniently located on-site. A family center with billiards, foos-ball, and a movie theatre is also complimentary for guests as is the fitness center and tennis court.
Guest Room Amenities
Guest rooms feature 29-inch flat-panel televisions with satellite channels. Free wireless Internet access in public areas, resort lobby and guest rooms, direct-dial phones and in-room safes. Coffee/tea makers are also provided. Bathrooms include shower/tub combination, complimentary toiletries, make up mirror, and hair dryers. Minibars (fee), air conditioning with climate control are also provided in all guest rooms. Irons/ironing boards and wake-up calls are available upon request.

"Flamingo Resort in Costa Rica"
Nice resort . Not super fancy but very clean. The pool was very big and family friendly. Covered kids pool was nice. Plenty of lounge chairs and some tables with umbrellas. Very pretty grounds and a great beach. We did an all inclusive breakfast plan. The food was good. The bardenders were friendly and made great drinks! The hotel staff was accommodating. "Should Have Heeded The Bad Reviews on TripAdvisor"
I read the bad reviews, but they were overshadowed by the good ones, so I didn't heed them. I wish I had and chosen a different place. I'm still attempting to understand why the star rating on this hotel is so high. It's really a Motel 6/Econo Lodge kind of hotel. I refuse to call it a resort, because there wasn't much of a resort feel to it. I'm am […] thoroughly perplexed at the reviews this place is getting. Pros: The rooms are spacious. Close to beach Free AM breakfast There are beds Cons: Overpriced for what you get There were bird feathers on the floor of our bathroom The sink and floor near the baseboard were separating from each other which was accented by a mildew. The water from the sink smelled like sulfur You could hear the person above each time they moved their chair across the floor. Everything felt grimy The hallways connecting the rooms echoed, so you heard every conversation anyone had no matter how far away they were as long as they were in your hallway. Restaurant on site was overpriced for the food it offered. Breakfast buffet wasn't as extensive as were some other places we'd stayed previously. This place gives you a bad vibe. Here's an example, when we checked out, we were sure to take photos of the mini bar stash so that we wouldn't get charged for something we didn't take. I felt itchy and dirty the entire time I was there. I didn't even feel like sleeping under the covers because it just felt as if the beds weren't clean. We only stayed for one day (gladly enough) and then got out of there. The staff was helpful, but not overly so. Basic service, nothing exceptional. I'd suggest this place for those travelling from another country who want a low end budget feel to their resort and enjoy the company of the "typical tourist" and doesn't like or understand quality.
