Family-friendly resort located on Flamingo Beach
The only resort located directly on Flamingo Beach, an ecologically protected beach. It features 120 total guest rooms. The resort's main pool includes a swim-up pool bar and a separate covered children's pool to protect small children from the sun.
Resort amenities
The resort offers guests a complimentary daily activities program. Additional optional activities include an on-site water sports center with boogie board rentals, jet ski tours, and ATV tours. A luxury spa with a wide variety of treatments and a beauty salon for hair, manicures, and pedicures is also conveniently located on-site. A family center with billiards, foos-ball, and a movie theatre is also complimentary for guests as is the fitness center and tennis court.
Guest Room Amenities
Guest rooms feature 29-inch flat-panel televisions with satellite channels. Free wireless Internet access in public areas, resort lobby and guest rooms, direct-dial phones and in-room safes. Coffee/tea makers are also provided. Bathrooms include shower/tub combination, complimentary toiletries, make up mirror, and hair dryers. Minibars (fee), air conditioning with climate control are also provided in all guest rooms. Irons/ironing boards and wake-up calls are available upon request.

Arenas Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. Friday night features a Costa Rican themed dinner buffet and dance show. Room service during limited hours is available. Sunset Lounge serves snacks and dinner nightly as well as cocktails. Magallenes swim-up pool bar is open daily for cocktails and food.
Daily guest activities program features fun activities for the whole family. Water aerobics, salsa dance lessons, Zumba lessons, eco-walks, and more! Casino (video slots, video poker, and video roulette) is open nightly (adults only). Sunset Lounge features occasional live entertainment.
The only resort located on Playa Flamingo, a blue-flag designated beach. On-site tennis court (lit for night play), a luxury spa, a family center with billiards, foos-ball and movie theatre, guest fitness center, a water sports center with boogie board, jet ski rentals, and ATV tours, a souvenir shop, and beauty parlor. A tour desk with optional tours and scuba and snorkeling tours, and a rental car office are all located on property.

Very decent family style resort. It is relatively small, so everything is right there: pool, restaurant, lobby and the beach. My friends and I really enjoyed our stay at Flamingo Beach. We had a few issues with charging food/drinks to our room initially, but once it was taken care of, there were no problems. We stayed in 2 seperate rooms, one of which didn't have a fridge - but this actually turned out to be ok because we didn't need it. The pool is beautiful and the swim […] up bar amazing. There is also immediate access to the beach from the pool. Some of the bartenders were absolutely incredible at making drinks and typically never skimped on the alcohol. althought we resreve 2 double beds, they had only king bed room. We stayed for 4 nights so they gave us a suit for 2 nightrs and made us change the room for the other 2 nights, which was uncomfertable! "Flamingo Beach Resort small, close to beach."
Flamingo Beach Resort is very elegant, not real big and wraps around swimming pool and right onto beach. Beach not real large but enough. We were just there and not many people were there so we felt like we had beach to ourselves. Water was somewhat rough but kids loved it. Flamingo Beach is a great location in Costa Rica. While it's not quite as busy as a beach town, it still has enough amenities and activities around. Pros- My husband, parents, and I recently stayed at the Flamingo and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean, food was good, and staff was hospitable. The spa was great, not as nice as an American spa, but the treatments were very good. The pool area was large and beautiful. "Nice, not great"
I was overall satisfied with the hotel but can't give it a great review.. I had trouble checking in as I had paid a premium for a balcony overlooking the pool and they put me in a bottom level room with no view. They then put me in another room which was already occupied and finally found a room that was marginally overlooking the pool. As it turned […] out I liked the room as I could hear the surf at night. Every time I went to get a clean towel for the pool they were out and told me to go all the way back to my room and use one of the bathroom towels. Also, I had paid for breakfast inclusion and that required that I wear a dumb looking blue bracelet for my stay. Seems kind of childish. My room was spotless; I had trouble with my shower several times but they were very prompt in getting it repaired. The hotel is very well maintained and everyone is very friendly. The hotel is clean and located just across a small road to the beautiful, clean Flamingo Beach. The hotel is older, but in good shape. The pool is very large and very nice with a good pool bar. You may add the all-inclusive option for all or part of your stay after you check-in... just an FYI. This allows for some flexibility if you don't want to book your whole stay as all-inclusive. There are a few very good restaurants in walking distance. Some will send a shuttle to get you for no charge... If not, the hotel can get you a taxi. There is a small store, pharmacy, and great tour desk across the street in the plaza. Don't book tours ahead of time or at the hotel desk... We really loved this hotel! Very chill place, and everyone was so accommodating. It's away from the hustle and bustle of other areas, and is a really fun place to kick back. The tour guys at the scuba shop helped out a lot with booking some fun tours- ziplining, mangrove cruise, surf lessons, and scuba. The drinks were excellent and plentiful and the […] food was perfect. Our only suggestion is that they should staff the upstairs "sunset bar" with more waiters. You're allowed to eat dinner up there, which we recommend doing, but the poor bartender is all alone up there and running all over the place.
