"Set in the hills with volcano views"
We really enjoyed our stay here. There a jacuzzi on the mountain side, free nature walks, horse back-riding. They also offer a free breakfast and they even make a made to order omelet. Excellent choice, great price, friendly staff. Highly recommended.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice place, location is a little isolating"
I really liked the lodge, the grounds were lovely and full of animals and birds. The rooms had fantastic views of the volcano and the staff was helpful. The wifi didn't work great and the location was a steep 5 minute drive from the main road. You would definitely need a car if you stay here.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Beautiful setting"
Courteous staff, beautiful grounds, decent restaurant, nice rooms. The weather was very rainy, and we were stuck with not much to do, since the hotel is in an isolated location. But, my travel partner went to the spa, while I waited in the room. I was allowed to stay past check-out at no charge, which would never have happened in the US! "Our experience at Arenal Lodge"
Although the actual hotel met all our expectations we were somewhat disappointed in its location. When we booked this hotel we were not told of its location being so isolated. The staff at the hotel itself were excellent and young Rebecca is to be commended on her use of English and overall skills in hospitality. We used a service the hotel offered […] through "Jac a Mar" which was the canopy hanging bridges walk. Amazing! Our guide Highdo impressed us with his use of English and his incredible knowledge of the are. However we felt the woman at the hotel that sold us the tour was not totally honest with her information and therefore made us change our vacation plans somewhat.
