Spent 3 nights in Cartagena; 2 at the Hilton and 1 at the Alfiz. This is a cute little hotel near the San Pedro Plaza in the old city. It is a little... difficult to find with a small sign on the outside wall on the street. Street names are only a block long so it is very important that you ensure the taxi drivers know the location before you set off from the airport. The hotel was clean and the employees attentive. They were very knowledgeable of the area and helped me with dinner reservations. The free wi-fi was a bonus. I fell asleep lounging by the pool after buying too many cervezas during lunch and mixing it with the hot afternoon sun. Be aware the common areas are open to the air and there is limited air conditioning. The rooms are all equipped with private air as well as bath.
