Hotel staff is friendly and all speak some English, far more than at most hotels. Staff were helpful, but there were several attempts to up-sell me. Club floor with Happy Hour additional $50 a night, limo to the airport instead of Taxi, $80 vs. $14. Taxi instead of subway...Other reviewers recommended the club upgrade, but if you don't drink, or only […] drink beer, it isn't worth it. The appetizers were excellent, but there is a lot of great inexpensive food and beer in the area. The "health club" is a small room that didn't even have a full set of weights, and only two machines. Clean and well-located hotel. We stayed here on our way into China. I would recommend this hotel, BUT, we stayed at the Regent Beijing next door on the way out of China and it was AWESOME. I think we paid slightly less for this hotel than the Regent. I'd pay about $40/night extra for the Regent but would choose the Park Plaza Wangfujing if the difference […] were more than that. We had a very nice 8 night stay at this hotel with a few minor issues. There was water leaking from the ceiling in our room, it wasn't worth getting a new room over though. One night upon returning to the hotel the door to our room malfunctioned and it took 30 minutes to fix. I was offered a cup of the worst tea they had (lipton tea in China?? really??) […] for my troubles. In all it was an enjoyable stay but I would probably choose a different hotel next time. Very nice hotel. Upgraded to the club level and enjoyed a very nice buffet breakfast and happy hour with enough appetizers to fill you up so that you could skip dinner! Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were well appointed and very, very clean. I would highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel room is very good, huge and clean and the subway station (Dengshikou) is only less than 5 minutes away! Wangfujing is 10 minutes aways by walking and the hotel is near to Tiananmen Square, Forbidden Palace and the Temple of Heaven. Cheap shopping spots are also nearby at Yong-anLI subway station. A good location and value for money!

The hotel is in an excellent location despite being hidden from the main road (and the noise!). It is also within walking distance to Wangfujing and other attractions. We immediately liked the feel of the hotel once we stepped in. Our room was of a good size and the bathroom was spacious, which is great. Everything looked relatively new and were well maintained. There were many electrical sockets for us to charge our items. The hotel is located just 3 mins away from Exit C of Deng Shi Kou Station so that made travelling […] very easy. And Wangfujing was a straight road down, with Fobrbidden City just a a few streets away after Wangfujing. The receptionists were friendly and the concierge/bellboys were very very helpful! We really appreciated their tips and friendliness. It felt great returning to the hotel each day. And do try the street vendor across the road for a Beijing pancake breakfast! Delicious! We've just stayed a week at the Park Plaza and had a great stay. Check-in was quick and convenient, the rooms spacious with everything you needed, very comfortable beds (apparently unusual for China??), great power shower, and very friendly and helpful staff. All the staff spoke reasonable English, with the concierge desk speaking excellent English. […] We never had any problems getting across our queries or getting the help we needed. The location was perfect, tucked behind the (far more expensive) Regent Plaza, so completely shielded from the noise of the busy road. It was within walking distance of the Forbidden city (25 mins or so ) BUT i would highly recommend getting a taxi there in order to save your feet for the epic exploration of the city itself. Easy walk to the shopping area of Wangfujing. Starbucks was literally opposite the hotel for a bit of comfort from home. We didn't eat at the hotel at all so can't comment on the food. Free internet which was great. We found Beijing a very easy city to navigate, taxi's were quick and cheap (as long as you had your destination written down in English), and the metro system was excellent. We felt very safe at all times. The Park Plaza is seconds away from a metro stop, Dengshikou, exit C. This metro line will take you straight up to Lama Temple (and the Vineyard Cafe, see below), and then also the Summer Palace and Temple of Heaven with a line change. Everywhere you go is just 2 yen for a single trip, absolute bargain. Read more

Flott moderne hotell for jobb og fritids reiser. Bra beliggenhet.Rent og romslig rom med veldig gode senger.Meget god frokost. Betalte noe ekstra for å få tilgang til egen lounge i toppetasjen med rommet, og fikk kvelds buffet med mat og drikke. Rolig plass for å avrunde kvelden.

Отель соответствует своим 4-м звёздам. Очень удобно расположен - практически над входом в метро! Из минусов - рядом практически нет продуктовых магазинов (ближайший в 15 минутах ходьбы или 1 станция метро). И ещё из минусов - депозит (при оплате наличными 300 долларов) - такого огромного депозита я ещё не встречал!

Aamupala oli hotellissa hinnakas, mutta ulko- ovea vastapäätä oli länsimaisen ketjun kahvila, joten sekin asia hoitui vaivattomasti ja huomattavasti edullisemmin. Huoneiden kunto oli siisti ja palvelu hotellissa ensiluokkaista. Hotellin läheisyydessä oli hyvä kiinalaista ruokaa tarjoava ravintola, ei vatsatauteja. Pros: +good location near all attractions and shopping venues +very clean rooms and fresh air +enough space for an extra bed Cons: -no hand shower -you have to take your shower inside a bath tub -the street noise is audible if you have a room with a view to the street. This is a very very nice hotel worth it's high rating on tripadvisors and popularity on hotels.com. Everything was excellent and you can ask the bellboys for some extra's, like information on simcards, and they'll be happy to help you. No real disadvantage here, except maybe for the getting there part. No taxidriver seemed to know this hotel, and getting […] in the street (Jinbao jie) is no help because you can't see the hotel from the street (ah oui, it's in a plaza) Only a small display with the park plaza name and logo is visible from the street. Try asking the taxidriver for the Regent hotel (not only same company, also same building block) and if he doesn't know that, try asking for the Ferrari, Rolls Royce and Maserati shops, the entrance to the plaza is right between those shops. There is a metro station across the street but surely getting there after that long flight to Beijing by metro may be a tad too much. But once you check in in the hotel, that metrostation is your start for many excursions in Beijing. Two main attractions, the Forbidden Ci... I mean Palace Museum and (of course) the Wangfujing shopping street, are reachable by foot. With that Wangfujing you have everything in reach what you should need, including a Quanjude (Peking duck). This hotel is excellent for a short stay in Beijing, as I have used it. Maybe for a long stay too, but I didn't do that. Read more
