"Close to metro and Starbucks!"
Park plaza is a great hotel, clean, lovely rooms, very central location and close to the metro so easy to get around to sights, also free wifi in the room which is great. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, we went to Starbucks which is right beside the hotel. There is also a nice Italian restaurant in […] the regent hotel beside the park plaza. We booked a tour to the great wall through the concierge which we were disappointed in because it was a full day but only 2 hours on the wall. The morning was wasted at the jade factory which is a tourist trap, I would advise to hire a private taxi and get at least 3 hours on the wall, there is really no need for a guide. "location and staff were very good"
The rooms aren't incredible from a luxury standpoint and a little on the small side-but the staff and location is excellent. We found it our best hotel experience of the trip. We had a club level room that included breakfast. Stick with the breakfast downstairs in the restaurant because you get that privilege if you are upgraded to a club level room. […] The drinks and exec. club room upstairs is nice for happy hour but the room is kind of small, and can get crowded. TIPS: Ask the concierge for the location of laundry place nearby. Cheaper than the hotel laundry. If you want a high end Peking Duck experience then you have Da Dong Duck which is across the street. Order the candied apple desert, it's amazing. We had a far more amazing meal at Taste, The flavors of Yunnan Restaurant. Cheaper, authentic and down the road in a Hutong alley off of Dongsi Street which is the same road that the Regent hotel is on. Bout a 15 min walk, ask staff for detailed directions using their taxi card. not hard at all. Hotel concierge booked our Great Wall day trip with a private driver, I recommend that for a hassle free day. Bout 90 USD for the whole day, you can pick time he comes to start the day and he waits while you hike the wall. Over all a great experience at the park plaza Beijing. The staff was very helpful. They had a converter to make charging easier in the room. All the services were prompt and good (room service, breakfast, house keeping). I've stayed at the Park Plaza Beijing Wangfujing twice now, and both times have been positive experiences. The hotel is clean and offers the services that you would expect for it's 4-star rating. I think the price is very reasonable given it excellent location near the center of Beijing. Major attractions including the Wangfujing shopping district, […] Tian'anmen Square, and the Forbidden City can all be reached on foot. "I would call it a 5 star hotel"
The hotel is amazing. Very new, concierge was very helpful and the location was good (the map of Beijing is much bigger than it looks). It took 10mins to walk to Wangfujing Rd. The concierge can organise a day tour in Xian to see the Terracotta Warriors but you need to organise the flights yourself. "王府井、故宮に近い便利なホテル"
今回で２回目の宿泊。部屋は特別広いわけではないが、清潔。ファシリィーも問題なく、インターネット接続（有線ＬＡＮ）も無料。チェックイン時に部屋の準備ができていず、待たされることがある。観光拠点としては王府井の散策は大変近く、また故宮の午門への徒歩ルートもそれほど遠くなく、逆に普段目にしない風景に接することができる。ホテルのレストランは利用する機会なかったが、横のビルには日本料理店、上海料理店、スターバックス等が入っており便利。リージェントホテルの裏にあるのでちょっと場所が分かりにくく、空港からのタクシー運転手は２回とも最初にリージェントに付けた。（漢字名の両ホテル名も似ている）地図とホテルの電話番号を運転手に提示しておくのがよいだろう。Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great hotel"
We stayed for 8 nights and are satisfied with our stay. They don't speak that good english in the reception, but enough to check-in without any problems. They have a really helpful english-speaking staff at the concierge (or whatever you call it) in the lobby, who help out with reservations for excursions, restaurants, taxi and everything else you need […] directions or help with. Be sure to use them during your stay, since it will make your stay easier and save time. If it wasn't for the concierge I would give the hotel a 3 instead of 5 for service. There is no wireless in the rooms, but there's a ethernet cable available if you got a laptop. Don't expect great speed, and be sure to use your local Google domain, e.g. google.co.uk, google.no etc. Google.com don't work. The area right around the hotel isn't that interesting if you're not into high fashion and Ferrari-stores, but a short 5-10 min walk takes you to the shopping street, 20 mins to the forbidden city, 3min to the subway. You got some small kiosks and grocery stores nearby if you want to fill up your minibar and get some snacks. Taxi is cheap, just be sure to have the adress written in chinese, or a map with chinese text on when giving directions. The concierge will help you with that. A hot tip is to visit the Dragonfly spa. Great massage to affordable prices. It's just to walk straight down the street towards Forbidden City, and you'll find it on the left side of the street after ca 15-20 mins. I checked in at 5 o clock and then I when in the room at 12:30 evening. The hotel and the room was nice, in a good area near the metro. But the room was cold (outside temperature -5), and we couldn’t get it really warm, even after I tuned on the heating on max. Then me and my girlfriend wanted to have a shower at 1:30 in the evening and the water was […] not hot! Finally I caught a cold and didn’t enjoy a nice hot shower.. Nice hotel but when you pay a 4 star hotel you expect to be able to have a hot shower whenever you feel like it in a warm room... and that was not in my case...
