we started our asia adventure off in beijing. stayed in beijing for 2 nights, 3 days. This hotel was great! It was clean, sleek, great staff! We had breakfast included in our stay and we really enjoyed the buffet breakfast. It had a lot of international choices. Would definitely stay here again!

We were spending the weekend in Beijing. The location was great. The staff spoke very good English and was very helpful. We upgraded to include breakfast and happy hour. That was well worth it. Happy hour was a great time to have a drink and some appetizers and rest. Breakfast was great too.

everything in the hotel was perfect. The only problem was the heating system which was shut down due to the regulation. Hotel provided us with a small electric heater and extra blankets. The staff in general were very helpful and tried to faciliate everything. I highly recommend this hotel

We enjoyed our stay at the Park Plaza Beijing Wangfujing. Our stay was near the end of their New Year's break and things were rather quiet. The staff was always friendly and greeted us politely. Our room was clean, comfortable and well stocked with little extras like bottled water daily and toothbrushes. The location is near the subway system which […] we didn't use. I went to Beijing speaking not a word of Mandarin. Almost all of the staff speaks excellent English, all the staff is very friendly, specifically the concierge. It is within walking distance to Wangfujin pedestrian street, and only a two minute walk to the subway station. Clean and comfortable. We had exec. rooms so breakfast was included. Otherwise breakfast alone can cost a bunch. 2 minute walk to the train and 5 minute walk to famour shopping street. Service was excellent. Took about 45 minutes to get to the hotel from the airport.

Most of the staff speak enough English to get by and the language barrier wasn't an issue at all.Our check in was a bit slow and the room wasn't ready but the staff were able to fix it and […] a new room was sorted out immediately. The beds were really comfortable and the room was clean and nicely decorated. Our room included the happy hour drinks and snacks which were a nice way to wind down after busy days. My wife and I stayed at the Park Plaza Beijing last week for three nights. I cannot say enough good things about our stay. Fantastic location, only a couple of blocks from the Wangfujing market (best seen at night) and a reasonable walk from the Forbidden City. Make sure you go for the upgrade. For about $50 per night you get a larger room with a view, […] a buffet breakfast that's the best I've ever experienced, and a happy hour that serves what amounts to a reasonable dinner along with complimentary drinks. The staff is exceptional. You could not ask for better service. There is one thing that I would mention. Many cab drivers do not seem to know where the Park Plaza Hotel is, even though it's very well located in the center of the city. This seems to have to do with the fact that the Park Plaza is a relatively new hotel. The staff is well aware of this issue. Make sure you have a detailed map with the location of the hotel that you can show your cab driver (in Chinese). But do not let this minor issue keep you from staying at the Park Plaza. Read more

We decided to stay at this hotel after reading the reviews from both hotels.com and trip advisor, and we were not disappointed. The room was lovely and comfortable, and we were allowed to check in early after arriving on the train from Shanghai in the morning. The subway station is just around the corner and we were conveniently located near the center […] of Beijing, Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. We ate at the hotel restaurant, Oodles, once and it was quite good. We also ordered room service once which was also very good. We did not, however, have breakfast at the hotel so cannot comment on that particular service. The staff and concierge services were very helpful in making restaurant reservations for us and providing instructions to taxi drivers. I very highly recommend this lovely hotel for anyone staying in Beijing. Read more

We spent three nights at the Park Plaza in Beijing, and it was excellent. They had the softest bed I've ever slept on in China, beautifully furnished rooms, and a great location (There is a subway station below the adjacent Regent Hotel tower). This is a fairly central location in Beijing, in a very upscale neighborhood (Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, […] Aston Martin and Bugatti dealerships as well as Gucci and Burberry stores). I was more than satisfied with this hotel, and the cost was great. We stayed in another hotel in town previous to this which cost twice as much and wasn't anywhere near as good. Metro station behind the hotel. Two Chinese restaurants near the main street. Getting taxi in Beijing could be challenging sometimes. I enjoyed my stay at the Park Plaza. Took about 45 mins from airport to hotel. Taxi ride cost about 100CNY. We paid extra for the club suite which came with breakfast and happy hour refreshments. The room was very spacious and very comfortable. Location of hotel was just next to subway station Dengshikou on Line 5. After much research and deliberation as to which hotel to stay at in Beijing my wife and I were certainly pleased that we chose the Park Plaza. Stayed for 5 nights in mid-May. Staff were very helpful and communicating in English was not a problem. Took the upgade for breakfeast and club room and in doing so met some other great guests from various parts […] of the world, A wonderful way to share stories in a comfortable setting. Hotel was very helpful in booking tours to the Great Wall and the Forbidden City at reasonable prices. Suggest that you have the hotel help with establishing taxi fares to various locations as certain taxi drivers do not believe in using the meter!! The stay at Park Plaza was very pleasant. We were advised to downgrade from 5* to 4* at Park Plaza aswe were travelling with our teenage son and the cost per night went down by half! The room was spacious and comfortable even with 3 of us. There is a nice restaurant in the Hutong behind the hotel that serves very good and inexpensive meals. We ended […] up eating there twice in a day! Though It is a quiet area and a good 30 mins' walk to forbidden city and Tiananmen Sq, nothing beats having a hotel near the hospital. When you are well, you can walk anywhere but when you are sick, what you need is a good hosptial near the hotel. The hotel is only about 10 minutes' walk to nearest hospital. This turned out to be a plus plus point for me as I needed immediate medical attention one night and was recommended Xie He Hospital. The medication helped me recover from severe pain from UTI to climbing the great wall the very next morning. Though it was difficult to flag down a cab from wangfujing area, we were able to call a cab easily from the hotel but we needed to walk back from hospital to hotel. with the hotel so close by, we had no problem walking back even late at night. We had 4 days here. Took an upgrade (great breakfast, late check out and use of the computer etc) which was good. Room was a little on the small size but was really nice and clean. Good size bathroom. So close to the metro/subway station and a short walk to Wangfujing. Staff were great (very helpful).

Initially booked the hotel based on many good reviews but was disappointed. The hotel is near to a subway, true, but on a line which requires a switch to the main line 5, not exactly convenient then as the switch had one of the longer walks between lines. Maintenance decides to embark on some knocking and renovation at 5am on the last night. Called […] to complain, asked us if we wanted to move to another room (at 5am?? on a check out day??!), thank you very much. Din didn't diminish, after a 2nd complain, this time a little more annoyed, the Front office people came up to ask them to stop the works. Shouldn't maintenance be done later in the morning/towards afternoon when most guests would be away or at least up already! Generally dissatisfied and would not go back nor recommend. Read more
