"Great location and concierge service"
For the price, this hotel was fantastic. The location was central to several of the big sites. While the decor and amenities in the room were a little "90s", we found the hotel comfortable and hospitable. The concierge in particular was wonderful! They helped us to arrange for a car to take us around, get a taxi wherever we needed to go... and they […] even wrote out how to order tickets for the train in Chinese for us. In particular, Everest was a great help! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Classy hotel"
The Prime Hotel is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. The luxury was unexpected. The restaurants are very nice. The lobby, spotless. The doormen, friendly and courteous. Centrally located for shopping and major tourist sites. Also, "Snack Street" only a couple blocks away. Although I cannot speak Chinese, the staff was able to communicate to […] my satisfaction. "Good location"
This hotel had a great location near all of the tourist sites. We were in a non-smoking floor but there were still a ton of people smoking. The concierge was very helpful. We would highly recommend the Great Wall tour to Badaling. DO NOT TAKE A RICKSHAW! They are a scam!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent hotel with bargain price."
it's an excellent expedia choice of hotel. The facility and surrounding area is ideal for tourist to enjoy and venture out. However, there is one area needs to be improved: please enforce the "non-smoking" policy on the non-smoking floor since the hall way on the 5th floor smells "smoking'.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location for exploring Beijing"
The Prime Hotel is a great hotel for exploring Beijing. You can walk to tinnamen square and the forbidden city. Your on Wangfujing which is great for shopping and only a five minute walk. The hotel is clean and the staff try and make your stay enjoyable. On the negative, they speak little english. The room also was very warm and we couldn't change the […] room temperture. We stayed on the 10th floor which gave us access to the clubroom. Breakfast was good and they had a good spread and varity. The clubroom however was nothing special and very limited with evening drinks. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice place, with a few gotcha's"
Great place to stay if your wanting to tour the Beijing area. Close to a lot of history and shopping. Clean rooms and well taken care of. The food in the cafe was extremely expensive for breakfast. Not a spectacular breakfast either. On the day of departure be sure and call to schedule a taxi. Or you can use the hotels car for about 3 times the rate. […] Hotel car pimps! Great location, walking distance to most places I wanted to see. Great shopping areas close by also. I would recommend this hotel to others. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"A very nice hotel for the money"
This is a great hotel for the money. The front desk staff did speak English though very limited. I had not problems communicating. My room had a desk with a PC provided by the hotel with free internet access. However, some Internet sites are restricted by the Peoples Republic of China. If you intend on uploading pictures to a very popular social networking […] site, you won't be able to (censored). Great many other web sites are blocked as well. Consequently, I was unable to upload photos for my friends viewing. A word of caution, when leaving the airport, be sure to have the name of the hotel printed in Chinese as most Taxi Drivers will not recognize the name of the hotel when presented or spoken in English. This is true for any property in Beijing and for that matter for most destinations. You can use various free on line popular translation sites to accomplish this but most importantly take hard copy print outs with you to show the Taxi driver. This hotel had business cards printed with the name of the hotel and other popular destinations printed in English/Mandarin on the back. I suggest you take a bunch of those cards when you arrive. Lastly, do not accept Taxi offers from persons when exiting the Customs Area. They are Taxi "pimps" and you will end up significantly higher. Exit the airport and get a cab that way. "Good value in Beijing"
The hotel was across the street from China National Gallery and easy walking distance to the cooked food market and main shopping street. I was very satisfied with the Prime Hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the building clean and well kept. We ate breakfast at the buffet every morning which was good and offered variety of western and eastern foods. The cleanliness of the room was much better than I expected. I would say it's 5 stars. Front desk and information desk were very polite and helpful. The lobby was okay looking. "Very good location with good service and fair price"
The hotel was very clean. The Superior Room was spacious for a family of 4 (2 small kids). Beijing was unfortunately hot when we were there. Most shops and local restaurants set air conditioning at 26C, which isn’t cool at all. The hotel sets to Western’s comfortable 21 - 22C. Each room has its own temperature control too. There are plenty places nearby […] (5-10 min walk) to get authentic and fair-priced Chinese food so we did not eat at the hotel restaurant at all. I would definitely recommend this hotel. This hotel was beautiful!! From the moment we arrived, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. "Prime Hotel Stay, June 2010"
The Prime Hotel offered comfort and cleanliness during our recent trip to Beijing. Our 5th floor room met all of our expectations: consistent air conditioning, roomy bathroom with plenty of hot water in the shower, tidy, comfy beds, an in-room safe, and a true nonsmoking room. Although the hotel is indeed a few blocks from the popular section of Wangfujing, […] I found this to be a plus, as the area was quieter and darker. We were still able to walk to the other livelier area in ten minutes. The Prime is close to the subway and several bus lines, and we were able to get to several attractive areas of Beijing on foot from there. We ate once at the lobby level breakfast restaurant, which was expensive but satisfying. The neighborhood around the hotel offered cheaper, tastier fare. The few negatives: in order to use the pool, advertised as free, one has to purchase a swimming cap. Also, the staff weren't very knowledgeable in giving directions or making recommendations. Otherwise, the Prime Hotel is a wonderful place to stay and we would return if returning to Beijing. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Surprisingly nice hotel, more upmarket than I expected for the price. Just 5 minutes walk puts you in the main shopping area of Beijing, with restaurants galore, plenty of upmarket malls and a reasonable tourist market down the narrow side streets. Traditional, locally run high quality hotel. Within easy walking distance of main shopping street in Beijing. "Great Beijing Hotel"
Excellent value for money in a fantastic central location - 30mins to tianamen sq 20 mins to forbidden city. We were lucky enough to have room upgrade - the room was fantastic with everything we could […] ask for. Great decoration and facilities. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Only one small niggle - the hotel advertises free wi-fi and indeed this is the case - but only in the lobby. If you want it in the room it is moderately expensive. Would definitely stay here again. "excellent value, great location"
The hotel was located very centrally on wangfujing shopping street about 20mins walk from the northern gate of the forbidden city. We discovered when we arrived in Beijing that everything in Beijing is actually really spaced out so we were relieved that we had made the choice to stay in this area. The service was good, the desk staff spoke English. […] The only issue with maintenance was that the shower didn't drain properly in the cubicle shower so would have caused a flood if we actually tried to use this. (There was another shower over the bath though which worked fine). The hotel was very clean and of a good standard overall. We ate at the buffet restaurant in the hotel. Wouldn't recommend this. Relatively expensive and a lot of the food was cold. You can get far better Chinese food outside of China. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Genuine Expedia guest review
