Small rooms with very little room to put clothes away or set anything down. We ended up using the ironing board as a small table just to have a place to set they keys, wallets, etc. Staff was cordial but not friendly.

We checked into the hotel, went to our room, dropped off our luggage, turned the AC on and decided to go for a walk in the neighborhood. This hotel is in a nice part of town. Stayed on the 14th floor hoping it would be quiet. We did not hear our neighbors other than the elevator ding but did hear a fair amount of traffic noise throughout the evening. There was a funky smell to the room that either we got used to or dissipated during our stay. The room furnishings are way past prime - stained upholstered furniture was not […] inviting but the room was clean overall. The elevators are small and I felt claustrophobic when 4 other people were trying to get on with my husband and me. On the positive side, the room was VERY large and the bath products were wonderful (shampoo, conditioner, soap, and shower gel). The shower had great pressure and no issues with hot water. The staff was helpful with directions. The tv was in a weird location but did have good reception. The AC worked nicely. All in all...it was just ok. Hotel was in convenient part of city, within walking distance of bus lines monorails and trains. The cleaning staff took excellent care of my room. For the time I was there my room served good purpose. One great feature was the laundry room. Front desk (reception) personnel were cordial to me and addressed my needs.

Location is in a very lively area of Sydney, loads of restaurants and shops nearby, but further away from the harbour than we had anticipated, i.e. a good 40-minute walk to Circular Quay. There are bus stops nearby, but we got to know the area a lot more by walking. Phone call back from reception later saying manager said rooms are made-up between 1:00pm and 4:00pm. Hotel itself was mostly fine. Our room was right next to the elevator - it seems like most of the rooms are just organised this way except one or two. So - it was a bit noisy with people coming in and out, and we stayed over the weekend before New Year's Eve so it was probably worse than normal. A lot of street noise and one night some of the guests […] came back to continue their partying in the room. The next night one of the apartments across from our room (different building) were partying until 3.30am. We decided to leave a day earlier. The room was small with a little window with a view to the next building. It had been equipped with two beds but without a table and only with one chair. And in the small wall cabinet was a little fridge, for this reason we had no space for our clothes also. But the hotel itself was at least centrally located.

We couldnt understand how this hotel could be rated a 4 star until we realised we had stayed in the Abey hotel which has the same entrance, reception, staff etc as the Cambridge but is classified as a different hotel with a lower rating.Basically the Abey is the 3 floors at the back of the hotel accessed by a separate lift. We were not made aware of […] this when checking in. Having looked on Expedia when we came back we see that the Cambridge and Abey hotels are now shown separately. They are still basically the same hotel. The hotel was adequate for a short stay but can be very noisy at night due to its proximity to the bars and clubs in the area. We had to move rooms on one occasion as the noise next door was so bad. The reception staff were very helpful in arranging another room on a different floor. The restaurant is being refurbished and the builders started work at 7.30 am even on a Saturday, this was annoying if you were on the lower floors. We were visiting family in Surrey Hills so this hotel was in an ideal position for us and also it is within walking distance of the city. We used this hotel as a base and for this it is ok but you wouldnt want to spend too much time here. Perhaps when the restaurant and cafe is completed it will be much better. Read more

Loads of parking, reception staff "distant" , room numbers difficult to see ... The people in the room opposite are screaming at their child to put it's shoes on ... easily heard in my one bedroomed unit, the father stands outside his room and uses his mobile to order mexican "home delivery" presumably he cannot use his mobile in his room .. Order room […] service, told that it would be 15minutes, and have also made a request previously to housekeeping, 'via reception, regarding the pull out sofa which was made into a bed that I couldn't put away. Meal, nachos, arrived about half and hour later, the room service waiter stripped the sofa, (thats why I couln't put it away) and then put it away for me .... nothing from housekeeping !!! Later, the people across the corridor are playing hide and seek in their room with thier child, all clearly audible over "masterchef" Also, the people just down the corridor also had children and the noise was not quiet as audible. Requests for rooms clearly request number of adults and children ..... why put a single or couple within hearing distance of 2 families with children??? You could also hear the neighbours giving their child a bath !!!! Ergo, if you want a qiuet room, try somewhere else !! And, I was on 5th floor .. windows in both the bedroom and the lounge, however no-one could see out of them, they had been frosted about half way up ... consequently I will probably never stay here again. It's definitely not romantic however - it's a great place to stay with mates. We booked this hotel based on the comments that we saw on websites but honestly the hotel didn't seem to meet our expectations. We had a 1 bedroom deluxe room for 3 persons and because they had made out the hideabed in the main living area, there was nowhere to sit other than on the beds. Not a single wall decor on the walls made the room feel more […] like a rooming house rather than a deluxe hotel room. Windows in the room are frosted about 60% probabilty the hide the poor views and construction going on behind the hotel. The hotel was not too far from the buses and trains. We were able to walk to the habor but could be a bit far for some. Hotel staff were very friendly. The hotel does need work doing to it. Our bedroom window was in bad condition and when the wind blew I was worried as to whether it was going to stay in place! All in all we enjoyed our stay.

The room was spotless as was the bathroom. The mattress was too too soft and there was a choice of a doona (too hot) or just a sheet. The remote for the tv did not work. The centrally located indoor heated pool was a nice touch but as there were a number of young people staying it tended to be rather noisy.

I stay here for a total of 4 nights in a Premier Twin booked through hotels.com and compared to Courtyard North Ryde, this is a lower rank hotel and I was prepared to give it a try. I was plesantly surprised by the room as it is nice, big and spacious and have a sofa. Much bigger than standard room at Courthyard North Ryde. It was situated on a low […] floor where I cannot see anything out of the window. This seems to be the common comment from people who booked through third-party websites. Things to note: In the middle of the night, we can hear water noise from flushing if you are a light sleeper. Else, noise level is ok. However, on the day of check-out, we got housekeeping knocking on our door at 8am even though we hang the DO NOT DISTURB sign when check-out time is 1030am. We are quite irriated by it as we were still sound asleep from a late night out. The twin beds were small and am ok just for me and my wife. I wonder how it would fit a bigger size person who is taller than 180cm and weighs more than 80kg without falling off the bed while sound asleep. They have a nice secure parking area at $22 for 24hrs. However only 1 entry and exit is permitted. The parking area is extremely tight and only 1 vehicle can drive through at one time as both entry and exit uses the same route. Small cars like Toyota Corolla is fine but a executive car like Toyota Camry will have a hard time manuvering due to tight corners and space. A short walk of less than 5 minutes from Oxford Street and there are many restuarants and fast food that you can choose from. Overall the stay was pleasant as the staff were courteous and pleasant for a reasonable price stay. It is close to many places of attraction within a city and most places can be reach for about $10 by Taxi. Read more

The location of the hotel was fantastic if you are looking for something close to the CBD but with more character, with fantastic shops, cafes etc. in the surrounding streets and only a 10 min walk to George Street. The hotel itself was ok—good for the location and price—but definitely not 4 stars, more like a solid 3. The room was spacious and had […] a big balcony which opened up, so it was fantastic to be able to get fresh air. The bathroom was very clean. The room itself was a little on the shabby side, with the furniture and carpet having seen better days and needing a good vacuum. The fridge and TV did not really work, and the bedside clock not at all and when I and I had to call to find out Sydney time. My room was near the elevator so was noisy. The staff were friendly but not really helpful, things like when I asked for a taxi, they said go outside and wave one down and the elevators were constantly full with the staff taking rubbish/cleaning supplies up and down in a very large trolley. I would recommend this hotel for someone looking for a good budget hotel close to the city and in a good location (you can not beat the price or the location for character), but have to say do not expect it to be 4 stars. 値段がそこそこで、セントラル駅から近いところでホテルを探しました。セントラル駅から近いは近いのですが、シドニー自体坂道がとても多いので重いスーツケースをもって徒歩で行くのはかなりきついです。ホテル自体はまぁ中級程度のホテルで、オーストラリアの物価を考えると妥当だと思います。水周りもそれなりに綺麗でした。シャワーも水圧もよく、自由に動かせるシャワーヘッドでした。ただ防音が悪いです。部屋を出るとすぐにエレベーターだったのですが、外の音が普通に聞こえます。また近くに飲み屋街があるので金、土の夜は外も若干騒がしいと思います。余談ですが、近くにBillsがあるので朝食はそこで食べたりしてました。

Rommene bar preg av å ha vært brukt i mange år uten særlig vedlikehold. Det var kjøleskap og vannkoker på rommet. Kjøleskapet var tomt. Ganske stort rom. Dårlig lydisolert, men lite bråk på hotellet, så det gjorde ikke noe. […] Hotellet lå i et strøk med en del billige spisesteder og hyggelige restauranter. Det var ikke det fineste strøket i byen, men vi følte ingen ubehag når vi gikk ute om kvelden. Hotellet anbefalte en god restaurant noen kvartaler unna.
