Peach Blossom Restaurant - Traditional Chinese restaurant serving dim sum and meals. Entrance pond, wooden gables, and murals of warrior decorate the large hall. Open all day. Eight private side rooms. The restaurant also provides food for the pavilion in the garden, which can be hired for private functions.
Connoisseur Restaurant - French cuisine and comprehensive wine list. Chandeliers, ornate carpeting, and central fountain. Pillars and French-style windows. Candles and flowers on tables. Open for lunch and dinner.
Lai Wan Market - Informal Cantonese cuisine including dim sum, morning and afternoon teas, and snacks. Recreates an outdoor courtyard setting under trees. Chinese furnishings, some seating shaped like traditional sampans.
Carousel Revolving Restaurant - Top-floor restaurant with simple, modern décor. Small tables seat four. International buffet of Chinese, Japanese, and Western food for lunch and dinner. Views over city.
The Garden Hotel offers a children's playground and wading pool, as well as table tennis, tennis courts, and a swimming pool. Yoga and aerobics classes are offered in the health center, which has a fitness room as well as a sauna and steam room.
The Guangzhou Luhu Golf and Country Club is 2.5 km (1.5 miles) from the hotel. Visits can be arranged through the business center.

"depends what you pay"
I stayed here during the Canton fair so the prices were over USD$300 per night. Definitely not worth the money. My bed was broken, the room has old furniture dating back to the 80's would be my guess. "Garden Hotel is my home in Guangzhou."
Every time I stay at the Garden I feel right at home. I just love it when I walk into the lobby after a long flight or a hard day, it is a very " Grand" and relaxing sensation. We stayed here for the trade fair and found the hotel to be well set up for business travellers. We stayed in an Executive room with free internet and business facilities available. Free shuttle bus to and from the fair was available too. A nice touch was a card left when the bed was turned down with the next days weather forecast handwritten on it. We have stayed at the Garden Hotel quite a few times over the last half dozen years or so and have had various rooms including executive floor. This time I booked an Elite room but was upgraded to a suite, the second time this has happened.
