Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusive

We loved the Tamarijn hotel. All of the rooms open up right onto the ocean which is very convenient. There are shuttles constantly running between Divi and Tamarijn which is nice especially for meals booked at Divi. The buffet food for breakfast and lunches is above par for buffet food, but the dinners are awesome at the restaurants. There are also […] snack shacks with food (pizzas and sandwiches) and drinks available all day. The staff at the resort is what really makes it, they are all above and beyond nice. The rooms are okay, not fancy, but nice. I thought it was nice because of people tromping back and forth to their from the ocean which is only feet away. Tamarijn and Divi have the largest beach stretch on the whole island. We had no problems finding a spot on the beach at any point any day. Just so you know the higher the number of building at Tamarijn the further you are from the hustle and bustle. People wanting a quiet beach with hardly anyone on it, 25 is the furthest down. Its a further walk to the food and drinks but it was worth it to us to only have a max of 8 people on the beach near us. Read more

The beach is beautiful. The hotel is old and needs renovations. But we knew what we booked and what to expect. They really need to make some improvements in rooms/bathrooms. Speciality restaurants we good. Buffets were not very good - expect breakfast which was okay. Most of staff were friendly (except one of the girls taking restaurants reservations […] - no personality!) They were replacing alot of sliding glass doors in rooms when we were there - which will be one big improvement - ours did not seem very secure. This was our 4th visit to the TAM and we enjoyed our stay. Over the last 15 years we've stayed at the high rise and low rise areas and prefer the Divi All Inclusive and the Tamarijn resorts most of all. Beaches are fantstic, service with smiles, clean rooms, and all of our expectations were met or exceeded. These resorts are close to the Alhambra casino […] and bus routes to town. Our favorate bar is the Bunker bar at the TAM. Small and intimate and overlooking the beautiful ocean - it provided a perfect venue for my husband and I to plan our future. The Tamarijn is the least of the five Divi resorts in Aruba! Not a top resort! A Plus-To start off, the beach in Aruba is amazing, the rooms are really nice in Divi village(not beach front), the bartenders are great, the option to go to the Divi sister resort down the way to experience their restaurants, better atmosphere, and nightly jazz made our […] trip better. The hidden jewels are the DIvi Golf Resort and Divi Phoenix (highrise), these I'm told are for timeshare owners and they get the top quality service and luxury rooms, etc... Renting at these will give you access to all 5 Aruba Divi resorts and you'll enjoy the better treatment! As for our first trip to Tamarijn last week, the room was not ready at check-in for hours, the wait list for restaurants is two days, as a new check-in we had to either eat the buffet everyday for the next two days for all meals (all-inclusive) or go off the compound, which we did to spend more money to eat, even though we had paid for all-inclusive, never seen this problem at any of the carribean resorts I've been to. (I've been to 12 islands.) Also, carts are supposed to bring guests between resorts, to restaurants, etc... Good luck waiting on the drivers, most workers are busy playing on their cell phones, completely unprofessional and you'll miss your reservations guaranteed waiting for the carts to be available at the front of Tamarijn. The room we were in (garden suite Divi Village) is not beach front and they started painting the building and we had to duck under scaffolds daily. My wife and I both got paint on us. We brought up our issues to Hotels.com and the manager and she sent us a bucket of cheap soda, room coffee and a cheap wine. Thanx!(sarcasm) We wanted a down-graded room on the beach and we would have been ok. We were instead shown a dirty room at the Divi as an option to move, it was also located facing the traffic on the street, we declined. The hotel itself is old and needs renovations. But rooms and grounds were clean. Just need updating. While beach had beautiful views, some areas rocky. The all inclusive is well worth the money. The drinks were NOT lacking a strong kick. The other travelers were fun and out going. Be careful taking small children there were many europieans who thinking being topless, or wearing sting thongs are acceptable clothing attire at a family resort.
