No issues, great location, 3 minute walk to bell tower and subway station, and 2 minute walk from the bus line from the airport stop, room was very clean and staff was great. A/C didn't work but told front desk and was fixed in a couple of hours.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Citadines Xian - Nice hotel, but Hard to find"
Hotel location is not bad, but no one knew where it was. Our cab driver actually kicked us out of his cab because he was frustrated that he couldn't find it. We ended up wandering around Xian with all of our luggage for an hour trying to find the hotel. The hotel itself was nice. It was clean and the staff was friendly. "More a condo than a hotel"
For a longer-term stay, it might be good. as a hotel, it is just OK. Our two-bedroom apartment was certainly more than we needed for a two night hotel stay, and the fixtures were OK. Our room smelled musty from being empty and uncooled for a while before we arrived. The mustiness went away after a few hours, but then we got a septic tank smell from […] a dried-out drain trap. The maintenance crew were prompt in working on the problem, and the smell went away in another few hours. I believe there are probably better hotels for the money if you don't need a large apartment. "Great Location, Great Value....However...."
Just spent two days in Xi'an with an overnight at the Citadines Central. Check in process involved seven people and took a half an hour but generally staff was very helpful. The hotel has an excellent location and rooms are a great value. However the hotel has fallen into disrepair. "Good location, helpful staff"
I was very pleased about my stay at the Citadines Xian Central. I chose it based on other reviews on the sight and am glad I did. The location was close to the main city center attractions of Xian (great mosque, bell and drum towers, as well as the Muslim quarter) it is literally a 5 minute walk to them all. Obviously not close to the warriors but none […] are. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and were large enough to be very comfortable for longer stays. We had two rooms for 5 people and that was more than enough space. We all actually wished we were staying in Xian longer. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They spoke above average English to what we had encountered in Beijing and Shanghai. Be careful about taxi fares to and from any hotel. Our tour guide for the warriors picked us up directly from the train station and before he dropped us off he made sure to tell us how much to expect our return to the station. When the taxi driver outside of the hotel quoted us 4x that much we were flabbergasted (especially since it would be x2 since we needed 2 cabs for all of us). Thankfully the doorman Alex Wong was able to help us find a more reasonable ride to the station. He was actually very helpful during th eduration of our stay. "Citadines Xi An"
The Citadines was a clean and spacious hotel. It was located in walking distance to popular sights such as the bell tower and Muslim quarter. You could also walk to nearby shopping and dining streets. "Great location"
The location for this hotel was excellent. It was right across the street from the Muslim district (great markets that you can barter at) and just down the street from both the bell tower and the drum tower. There was also lots of places to eat within walking distance and lots of regular shopping including a huge mall. Furthermore, for all those who […] love their Starbucks or collect Starbucks mugs from each city visited, there are also two within walking distance. If you like having your own driver to take you places ask the hotel for Peter as he is a driver that will take you to see the Terra Cotta Warriors, Banpo Museum, the factory where they build replica warriors, and the wall for a reasonable price. "Just perfect"
The hotel had a perfect localization both to start and end the day. We didn't have the adress with us when we first arrived in Xi'an, but we could get to the Drum Tower, and it was a no-issue finding the hotel ourselves from there. The prices were great, the room was spotless and included everything you could want. Both wireless and wired internet, […] a desk, the ability to split the room in half for some privacy between us travellers. Free water (not billed for it) and even clean trays and glasses anad such. Basicly appartment hotel fits the bill. The exercise room was great to have aswell, and the view from the rooftop "garden" was great. I couldn't think of a better way to live in Xi'an, and I would recommend it to anyone. The hotel staff were always on duty, and at least during the most commong work hours they had someone decent enough in English to get whatever you needed. They had offers about a driver to take you through the main highlights in Xi'an, but basicly the drivers were standing outside, and you could just ask them pesonally for the same thing, just cheaper.
