Nice size room (we had the one bedroom apt.). Everything was new and very clean. The washer and dryer and dishwasher were a nice touch too. Kind of far... walk from The Strand, but still doable. Only about a 15 min walk to the Queensland Museum and Reef HQ. About 20 min walk to the ferry to Magnetic Island. Lots of restaurants on the street too. Friendly staff, nice pool and gym. Would definitely stay again. It's the first Australian hotel that hasnt been overpriced and underwhelming. by a Hotels.com guest on 01/08/11

Stayed for 5 nights. Location is good with plenty of dining options in the evening. Little dead during the day but we were out and about. Nice pook and gym. Would stay here again

The Oaks Gateway on Palmer is only a tad less up market than the Oaks M on Palmer but it is so much better located with regard to local restaurants and amenities. It is very accessible by car annd foot, close to the CBD and our room provided great views.

This place is well located right on the restaurant strip. Its not far from the strand and its right on the river. I loved it. ps. The restaurant strip has a variety of great restaurants but the one we kept going back to was JAM corner right across from the motel. Excellent
