This hotel has a very good location. It is close to the train station and the main shopping area. It also borders on the area where the nightlife takes place and it is fairly close to the fabulous Kunsthaus Museum of Art. When you leave the station you go over the bridge and cross one street then go to the over side of the street (to the right) then when you cross go left and the next street is the one you want and is like the fifth door on the right. We only stayed one night at this hotel. It is convient to the train station and also in a good, fun area with air conditioning something you will not find so easily in Switzerland. The breakfast was good. The hotel front desk staff was very lacking in information about the area and didn't communicate well in English (as comparied to all the other hotels […] we stayed at in Switzerland). We were delighted that when we checked in early they had a room available for us. After going to the room we saw that the floors had not been cleaned and the bathroom floor was gross with many hairs on the floor plus the mirror was not clean. It gave me the feeling that they just wiped down the sink and put in clean towels. It took everything I had to step into the tub. It looked clean but since the other areas had not been clean how was I to know if the tub was. Also, the toliet didn't have the usual paper tag on it that said it was clean like all the other hotels did that we stayed at for this trip. We told the front desk staff that the room needed to be clean and then we went out for a couple of hours and returned to the hotel to rest for awhile. While taking a nap the hotel maid came in to clean. This was over 4 hrs. after I had reported to the front desk about the need to clean. Location is excellent! Tram system is right round the corner and gets you anywhere. Don't spend the $60 taxi fair to the airport. Take #10 tram for $6 each. So easy. We felt very comfortable here. Theonly night we had any noise from the pub across the street was a Saturday night. All other nights were very quiet.

Clean, well maintained facility. Unusual bathroom (glass walls) but otherwise functional. Efficient but disspirited staff. On-site breakfast. Very convenient to local restaurants, train station.

Close to train station, but watch out for the taxi drivers they would not take us to the hotel because it was too close but they would not give us directions.

Its probably the best bang for your buck in Zurich. Very nice place, especialy considering that Switzerland is very expensive. Very clean, very safe, nice staff. Has free internet station at the lobby. Good Breakfast buffet, which would normaly cost around 15 to 20 franks anywhere. Staff was unfriendly. It was X'mas day when we checked-in and we wished her and did not say a word but give off a 'forcedl' smile. Toiletries like shampoo were not replenish daily. We were given only one tiny bottle on first day of check-in and that's it, taking into consideration that there were three of us sharing the room despite paying extra CHF60+ […] for extra person. At breakfast, coffee was served by the staff. So, when ask for second cup of coffee, they were unhappy. Wi-fi was not available anywhere in the hotel unless you pay CHF10 for half hour. Surprisingly the type of service we received as Switzerland is a place where people go there to study hospitality. We will never stay in the hotel again. Read more

We had researched a reasonably priced hotel for a 4 night stay in Zurich in autumn. The Hotel Ruetli easily met all of our expectations - clean & tidy rooms (which were a little warm until we sorted the heaters out). The staff were friendly and attentive and the breakfast included in the room price made a good start to each day. Allt bra, utom att dörren till toalettrummet inte gick att stänga helt, vilket är obehagligt om flera personer bebor rummet. Dessutom är den av glas, vilket gör att om någon går på toaletten på natten och tänder lyset i toalettrummet, så lyser det upp även sovrummet och därmed väcker den medresenär som är ljuskänslig.

Hotellin sijainti oli todella erinomainen. Päärautatieasemalta pääsi helposti kävellen viidessä minuutissa hotellille. Huone oli tosi mukava, puhdas ja nykyaikainen. Oli riittävästi kaappitilaa tavaroille, kylppärissä oli tilaa ja koukkukin pyyhkeelle. Aamiainen oli riittävän monipuolinen. Respan henkilökunta palveli ystävällisesti ja hyvin.

Hotel in Toplage; zweckmässige, hübsche Zimmereinrichtung, reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet, freundliches Personal, Eingangsbereich und Frühstücksbereich etwas kahl; eine Rückkehr bei anderer Gelegenheit ist gut vorstellbar.
