This Zurich hotel is within two kilometers of the Museum of Design, Letzigrund, and the Swiss National Museum. The famous Bahnhofstrasse and the Old Town are only 7 minutes away by tram lines 4 and 13 from the Senator hotel.

"Decent price, a little far from city center"

Not a good room for light sleepers. Our room was facing the main road (facing Zurich business school) and I could hear loud music from the bar next door, people talking along the street, traffic noise in the middle of the night. It only takes 5 tram stops from the main station so the location is not too bad. However, a bar is next to it so it is very noisy at night. I have no choice but turn on the air-con under 13 degree C. Those pub-goers keep shouting and singing. The hotel room was quite dirty, the toilet was quite dusty. Aunque es un hotel comodo, ya tiene sus años de uso, lo que hace que algunos de sus equipos ya se encuentren desgastados. Ej. A nosotros no nos sirvio el minibar. "Te warm"
In principe was dit hotel prima. Minpunt echter was dat de kamer veel te warm was. Buiten was het min 20 maar in de kamer was het zo warm dat zelfs met verwarming uit en raam open het aanvoelde as een oven. We hebben dan ook 2 nachten heel slecht geslapen. Das Hotel Senator ist im Nord-Westen der Stadt gelegen. Die Umgebung bietet Restaurants und eine gute Anbindung an das Verkehrsnetz. So weit, so gut. Was allerdings mehr als störend ist sind die sehr schlecht Lärmisolierten Fenster. Hat man ein Zimmer das zur Seite Heinrichstrasse gelegen ist, kann von Ruhe und erholsamem Schlaf auch unter der Woche […] keine Rede sein. Straßenlärm, das gegenüber gelegene und sehr gut besuchte Kino, die ständig fahrende Straßenbahn unter Tags und CARGO Transporter der Bahn in der Nacht...alles hört sich an als würden sämtliche Dinge im eigenen Zimmer passieren. Außerdem wird das Zimmer durch eine Fußbodenheizung beheizt die sich leider nicht selbst regulieren lässt. Saunaalarm! Das Hotel an sich ist in Ordnung und sauber und auch nicht weit vom Bahnhof bzw. der Stadt entfernt. Die Zimmer sind nicht sehr gross aber ausreichend. Das Bad eher klein. Die Zimmer haben einen Balkon und Aircondition. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Der einzigste Nachteil ist ein bischen die Lage. Das Hotel liegt direkt […] gegenüber einer Konzerhalle. Somit kann es bei Veranstaltungen schon mal lauter werden bis später in die Nacht. Am besten vorher informieren ob Konzerte geplannt sind.
