"The Fly Away Zurich Airpot"
On 07 Feb, I arrived at the hotel at noon although check in was not until 1400. The first thing out of the man's mouth who was on duty at reception was "you didn't request early check in, you have to request it." I told him I didn't know for sure what time I was going to arrive, thus had not requested early check in. He said there were no rooms available. […] Before I could even say that was alright with me that I would wait the two hours for the room, he became arrogant and condescending with me. While continuing to harangue me about being early, he did give me a room, but attempted to make me feel like I was causing him massive grieve to do so and that I was not really welcomed at the hotel. The maid had to go back down to the desk to get my room card re keyed as he didn't do it. Everyone else at the hotel were very pleasant to deal with and went out of their way to welcome me. However, the man I dealt with in reception should not be on the desk dealing with customers, he completely turned me off about the hotel and left me with a sour taste. I will not stay here again. "Hotel Fly Away in Zurich"
The original room they gave us had a strong chemical smell. They were doing some special cleaning in a couple of rooms on our floor and that was where the smell was coming from. When we asked to move rooms, the person at the front desk appeared to know all about the bad smell and was annoyed that she had to look for another room for us. She said the […] hotel was fully booked for the night. She gave us another room, but obviously someone else had to get the bad smelling room. The room we finally got was very warm and you couldn't do anythinng with the thermostat to cool it down. We asked for a wake-up call for 6:45am and we got our wake-up call at 4:45am instead. "If Only for One Night"
Close to airport and convenient hotel shuttle. Other than that, really nothing to recommend this ordinary hotel. Service was poor, even by cold european standards. "An inexpensive option, but not as good as others"
The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. The location is convient - in Kloten, very near the Kloten train stop (it is the S7 line.) The trains come every 30 minutes. I stayed here for a busines trip. The room was on the front of the hotel and faced the street. On the Friday night I stayed there, there was a fair amount of noise from music and people […] yelling. I'm not sure if they were just enjoying themselves or having an argument, but it was not a plus for me. Unfortunately, the complimentary Internet service was slow. To pass the time in the evening, I wanted to watch Youtube clips, but they streamed down so slowly I had to wait 20 minutes to watch a 5 minute clip. I ended up reading a book instead. I did not try the breakfast at the hotel, so I cannot comment on its quality. Overall, I would probably not stay here again. "Convenient to Zurich airport but smelled funny"
A very utilitarian hotel. Nothing to write home about. I stayed in the hotel as it is close to the airport as I had an early morning flight. The hotel smelt funny. The customer service was so-so. Internet cost a couple of arms and legs. Would not recommend this hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Cheap for a reason"
The staff were lovely and the room immaculately clean. Unfortunately because of the design of the building with no carpets and echo-enhancing corridors, you can hear all other sounds. While it's not the hotel's fault if guest clomp around in high heels in the early hours of the morning, the noise levels did disturb our sleep on more than one occasion. The […] other problem we had (and in fairness to the hotel, we didn't ask them about it) was that our room was uncomfortably hot. This was quite an achievement since it was -14 degrees outside with thick snow on the ground. Even with the thermostat controls set to their lowest settings and the radiator in the bathroom off, we still had to sleep with the door open to the balcony! We used our hotel literally as a base for sleeping as we were busy exploring Zurich.
