A group of small islands offshore from Nadi, the Mamanucas are ringed by sandy beaches, turquoise to pastel green waters, and coral reefs. Access is a quick hop from Nadi via boat or plane transfer, and accommodation options range from budget to luxury, and bures (traditional thatch-roof huts) through to exclusive beachfront villas. Scuba diving and snorkelling in this region comes highly recommended.

"Great hotel for honeymoon"
Incredible hotel, the beach is amazing, the staff is so nice, the food is not the best and some rooms need refurbishing considering the price you pay, but in general it is a great experience and we would definetly go back.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect Relaxing, Honeymoon Resort"
Amazing secluded resort less than a 2 hours boat ride from Denaru Port on the eastern islands in Fiji. Great snorkeling and peaceful, relaxing, classy accommodations.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A pearl in the pacific!"
Good for a few days rest. Excellent snorkling. Friendly staff.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Would love to go back!!!"
The staff were very friendly and helpful in all matters. The room was spectactular, right on the ocean, and very very roomy. Snorkelling right off the beach was some of the best we have ever done. The morning breakfast was included and was awesome. The lunches and dinners were a little pricey but considering everything had to be brought in by boat, […] not too bad. "Welcome to the Hotel Matamanoa"
Overall had a fantastic time at this resort. We loved the location and especially the staff who were all lovely people and made our stay even more enjoyable. Most of the visitors at the resort arrive as a couple or with a small group of friends. The atmosphere is very serene and peaceful, during the day you would find most visitors either reading a […] book or just lounging by the pool so it's the ideal resort for those who want to get away from the city or if spending quality time with their partner/spouse. The room was comfortable and clean, however, there are a few things that could be improved. There was an electricity failure in the first room we stayed so they swapped us to another room. When we were in the new room, the shower was relatively small and water would seep out to the room each time we used it. Since they had already given us a new room, we didn't want to press on so we just used a towel to block the water from seeping out as a quick fix. The food there is above average and is almost like fine dining every night, however me and my partner found the portions a little small and found it wasn't enough to order just one main each. However, these things did not spoil the experience, my partner and I had an fantastic time and the staff really do try to make the experience as best as they could for you. "Bula Bula!"
Loved the island and the people. Wasn't too fussed on the food, but it is hard to ship fresh food to the island so it is understandable.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Pacific paradise delivers-we will be back."
We stayed in a garden view room which was very similar to the beachfront bure only a little smaller. The rooms were well equipped and spacious with a fan and aircon, a fridge a jug, a safe and a well appointed bathroom. The garden rooms were fairly new. Our 18 year old son came with us and had his own room. He was the only teenager on the island, which […] is mainly a honeymooners destination, but he had a ball. He was given special treatment by the staff and enjoyed all the activities that the resort supplied. We have not been to Fiji before but picked this resort because of the great reviews. Everything we read was absolutely true. This is a great resort. Most of the staff are super friendly and genuinely helpful. The food was great and pretty reasonable given that breakfast was free. The seafood was always fresh. On the negative side the drinking water tasted a bit tainted (diesel?) but bottled water was available. The island itself is very beautiful with lovely white sand beaches and pretty good coral especially on the west side of the island making for good snorkeling. There is plenty of gear which is provided free of charge however you had to hand it in at 4pm so we relied on our own snorkeling equipment. There are two catamarans for free use however the wind and tide has to be right and we only got out once especially after a couple capsized and had to be towed in. There are also a dozen kayaks for use. Overall this is an enchanting resort. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"36 years anniversary"
We coudn`t choose better piece of heaven for celebrating of our 36 wedding anniversary. We are still in awe of the beauty of Matamanoa island and the kindness and loyalty of all staff their relaxed attitude made us settle in quickly. They are like a pearls on a bracelet and together making a perfect team. Food was very good. Big breakfast and light […] tasty lunch. Soups of the day were very yummy. A must to try. For dinner we enjoyed fish every night. (the best food is local food.) Although island is very small, there are so many activities. Our days were filled from morning to late night. You can enjoy yourself as a couple or just hang around with the other guests. Everybody was very friendly and we felt like one big family. Thank you Matamanoa island for a wonderful holiday, the best so far, and special thanks to Patrick for excellent organization on the island. We can`t wait to come back. We visited in April 2012. "A little bit of paradise"
Beautiful settings and lovely friendly staff. The watersports are very good and always avalible. Like others we took our own duty free to have a few drinks in the room (fridge and glasses provided) before going to dinner. A very good experiance.Genuine Expedia guest review

"seeko"

"Hotel Matamanoa - isole Fiji"
