Admiral Inn is located halfway between the tourist areas of Clifton Hill and Fallsview Casino. Both areas are within walking distance and the Falls itself is also not far. There is free parking and a Mediterranean/Thai restaurant offering good meals at very reasonable prices in an area where many restaurants charge a premium. "VERY DISAPPOINTED"
The hotel was very dirty, we walked in the air condition was blasted; the room was freezing. The room smelt like smoke and air was dirty. Went into the bathroom, the ceiling was chipping, the bath tub was DISGUSTING, it had brown stains and was very sticky. The carpets were also dirty. One of the light bulbs in the bathroom was burnt out. The pictures […] online are very deceiving compared to the quality of the "Inn" in person. Spoke to front desk, she just walked out to call someone, didn't apologize or say anything, she just walked out, did not say a word to us. When the second person came in he was very disrespectful and was not willing to help us out or do anything for us. "For a night of partying, go ahead..."
The hotel was honestly extremely dingy - it was old and smelled funny and had plenty of strange stains all over the place. That being said, we checked the room for bed bugs when we got in and saw NO sign of any, we also didn't see any other bugs at all, and the sheets seemed clean. The small lobby is nice, and has free wifi, but the wifi doesn't reach […] the far rooms (lol), there is a restaurant with tables out in the open in front of the lobby which gives it a cool feel. There is no ice machine, so they said they would bring us a bag of ice but it took them 3 hours to do so, same with towels. The pool was closed most of the time we were there but it looked like it would be a fun place to hang out. Long story short, the price is good so if you're not picky about ghetto motels, go for it, but if you're in it for the experience, spend an extra $50-$100 and you will see drastic improvements. Absolutely discussed! The breaker for our room had to be rest. Holes In the walls and shower walls. Water damage to celling above my door... Fire alarm falling off ceiling. Mold on walls molding around room falling apart. Drapes almost ripped off window . Blood stains on shower curtain replacing missing glass door as well as bed sheets... "Travellers who do not require deluxe accommodation"
We chose this hotel for a week long stay (despite mixed reviews) based on the price and location. We were very pleased with the location. It was easy to get everywhere either walking or by bus and there were many places to eat within walking distance. It was close to Niagara falls and all the attractions We (two women) felt comfortable walking around […] at night. Great location. Within walking distance to Clifton Hill District, shops, restaurants, and the falls. We parked our car on the first night and only used it twice while in town. Room was basic, bed was comfortable, and very quiet. We stayed for 5 days at this motel. It Was my first motel experience and it was basic and cheap. The host were very accommodative […] and helpful. This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. I cannot believe that ur service would even have this hotel listed as a place to stay. The 2 star rating was warranted. \ We had guest visiting from overseas and it was an embarassment...but because we were only there for one night..we thought we would be fine.>>>NOT!! No towels in our room...when we […] asked for them...it was an effort for the clerk to get them and then asked if we needed them folded or not? Really? The bathtub was fility....needed some serious grouting and re surfacing there. No kleenex, no blow dryers? Cmon...who does not provide that nowadays? The toilet paper roller was so far away from the toilet...too bad if you sat down first .. you had to get up to reach it! The door knob was broken in our bathroom...and light bulb out in an already dark room. The linens on the bed were clean at least....but that was it! Shampoo packets like ketchup.....that was it? This hotel was so disgusting.....and reminded me more of a one night stand hotel for teens.
