"smallest, most uncomfortable room ever"
Although the staff was very helpful, the room itself was miniature for the cost, the bed was hard as rock, a VERY small "queen" and ancient (at least 15 years old)!! In a place that was so beautiful, the room seemed totally out of step with the atmosphere of Banff. It was extremely hot without A/C! This hotel is located at one of the main intersections in downtown Banff. If you like to be close to all of the shopping and restaurants at a reasonable price, this is the place. As the title suggests it was a perfect location in the centre of town. Smooth check-in, clean no frills room but free wi-fi, TV and tea and coffee making. It was the worse hotel we'd ever stayed at - very outdated, small, and dirty. Beds were very old and uncomfortable we couldn't sleep. A/C didn't work. It was hard to find and only available parking was 2 blocks down in the parkade. We drove around the block twice before we found it because of its awkward location. "We loved it!"
We stayed here just for a night to head up to Louise the next day. It was so clean and the girl at the front desk was so great to us! She found us a fridge and brought it to our room so we could store our food for the next day, and the hotel is so convienient to run to a pub for drinks or dinner. "Convenience of hotel location"
yes, location is great, but because of it parking is a challenge. Room is very small, we hardly could open a pull out sofa, not to mention to sleep on it was a real torture.
