The room rate was too high . They said it was a King bed and 2 other beds. The 2 other beds were like a military bunk beds. Even the King was sunk in the middle. The room was a disappointment. "good location, basic accomodation"
Great location, but the parking is awkward underground behind the hotel if you are driving. There is loud music into the night from the bar above the hotel and the rooms are not very sound proof - so not a great choice if you go to bed before midnight. It was hard to find and only available parking was 2 blocks down in the parkade. We drove around the block twice before we found it because of its awkward location. The room was clean considering but very small. It was extremely overpriced and the only reason we stayed there is because nothing else was available. "Noisy patrons kept us up"

"King Edward hotel - Close to night life in Banff"
This hotel was very cheap at the time and that was why we booked it. Everything was okay until we lay in our beds. They creaked and were very old. We had a two single bed room. The beds were uncomfortable. This hotel is in a great location. It is right in downtown Banff. This was a great thing during the day but as 11 and 12 o'clock rolled around it […] was apparent that a select few people did not want to go to bed until very late. There was excessive screaming and yelling across the streets at each other. I guess these people were coming out of the nearby bars and lounges and had nothing better to do. The old windows in the hotel room did little to block the noise so I did not get a very good sleep.
