Tantalus Resort Lodge

Got a very good deal with an early season discount. Front desk staff was super friendly, helpful, and mapped out our evening activities with some great recommendations. Even the guys who kicked us out of the hot tubs to close them at 10:30pm were most pleasant. Room was good size, beds comfortable. Decor not super luxo, but perfectly nice ski condo […] modern. Strange room numbering on 4th floor where room numbers starting in 400's are on the same floor as those in the 500's. One of the hot tubs and the larger pool were a little on the cool side. Parking was covered and locked, not a horrible deal for $18/night. We did have to remove our roof box to make the door clearance (beware!). The walk to the village might be a little long in ski boots, but no problem at all for the able bodied in regular shoes/boots (5 min. or less). I carried ski boots and stashed shoes in a cubby at the rental shop while skiing. We didn't use the shuttle - traffic revisions in the village don't allow it to go all the way up to the lifts now, anyway. Hot tips: Tantalus will give you a coupon for 10% off ski rentals, your rental receipt is then good for 20% off food at the Dubh Linn pub (highly recommended). Lift tickets are discounted if you buy them at the 7-11 just off the highway in Squamish on the way up. We will be back! Read more

We were upgraded from a Hotel room to an appartment which gave us plenty of room for just the 2 of us. The overall condition of the hotel was adequate and it could certainly do with a bit more maintenance. The key issue was the rip off car parking fees.

Had a 2 bedroom apartment, good size; fit everyone easily and had two bathrooms which was handy. Full-size kitchen was really nice (had a dishwasher) and helped us save a heap of money, not having to eat out all the time. We used the outdoor hot-tub and the pool at night which was conveniently located across from the entrance to the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. If you are driving be prepared to pay an extra $18+tax for parking. Overall it was a nice experience, I would definitely go back.

For a quick family get away this was the perfect hotel. Our two bedroom suite with kitchen and living area was ideal for our young family. Next time we will visit in the summer so we can comfortably swim in the outdoor pool and walk or bike to the village playground and lakes.

The room was really nice and the price seemed great. However everything was extra $$. We had booked a pet friendly room for 3 adults and 1 dog. We paid in advance yet once we got there we were informed we still needed to pay for parking?!?, the pet ?!? and Wifi would cost $5 a day. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others. The only downside is there is only one lift for the whole complex. In peak season this would be a major bottleneck and delay . The staff were very helpful and friendly and the internet access ($4.95) and parking ($18) good value.

Our room had a balcony that looked out onto the pool and surrounding area.The kitchen was well equipped with pots,pans, dishes etc. The only thing missing was paper towel, and plastic wrap to cover food. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are decently updated and spacious. Tennis courts and pool are well maintained. No AC in rooms. $18 per night to park your car, or $14 per day at the Whistler conference centre, about a 5 min walk away

I have stayed here before and had a great experience. This trip was not a success. There was a summer camp going on and we came to unwind and relax. Rules had changed and I was disappointed at the lack of facilities to house the bikes we brought as we could no longer keep them in the room. There was a loud party above us and while they quieted after […] complaining we also had alcohol dripping on our deck. Great location! and good value for money. Although parts of the hotel could benefit from some renovations, the room itself was very clean, and spacious. Great to have a kitchen, and tons of room to hang out (living room with sofas, dining room etc.) Also, the outdoor whirlpool and heated pool were great. I would definitely stay here again.

First time to this property (many times to Whistler). It's getting harder and harder to find pet-friendly rooms at reasonable cost. Tantalus is about 5 minutes walk from the Village, parking lot is down the road. Otherwise, nice property and kid / pet -friendly so it met our needs. BBQ was a nice touch.
