"Didnt really like the service"
Room was nice, clean and spacious, only thing is they didnt inform us that our balcony was closed for repairs, that was annoying. Also, they messed up our damage deposit, didnt end up returning it for 4 days, then after we had gotten home they phoned me at midnight on a sunday and woke me up, then the staff got really rude because I didnt want to get […] out of bed to get my credit card info and made a huge issue about me calling back in the morning, and we are on the same time zone, so they knew it was midnight on a sunday, I found that to be unprofessional. "Better than expected"
We were absolutely delighted to find out our standard room had a loft and kitchenette. This was not a newer top end hotel but it was super onvenient in the heart of the village and it was also very comfortable. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and we got a great rate. My boyfriend and I were extremely dissapointed with our room and stay at this hotel. First of all the room was nothing like the pictures and was very old(pics showed newer) We were told that the Murphy bed mattress was very comfortable which it was not. We went to use the hot tub and they had no robes to use. But the worst part was that the night front […] desk guy came banging on our door at 3:30 AM yelling that we had to leave!!! He thought we were having a party but we were dead asleep. I later found out there had been a room with a party on our floor. It was very rude and ignorant, staff should not be disturbing guest in that manner. I complained to the front desk in the morning and they waved the parking charge but in comparision to the full price I paid to stay in their hotel I was dissapointed. "Convenient"
In the heart of Whistler Village, close to absolutely everything. Staff was really great. Friendly, warm, funny and very helpful. Room is what you pay for. But it was clean and comfortable. The only thing that was wrong was that when we noticed it had a wood burning fireplace, we went out and bought some wood. Unfortunately the piece that opens the […] flute was missing, so we couldn't have a fire. "Great rooms! This is Whistler!"
This is Whistler! Everything is great! Get outside, enjoy the area - we barely used the room, as we went downhill mountain biking. The room next to us was partying till 4am, but all we had to do was call front desk and they kicked them out into the street! Now, that's service! "Whistler Village Inn & Suites - ROUGH!"
Check which part of the hotel you are booked in before you confirm and make payment. While hotels.com promised 3 star - that is far from the experience we had when we arrived and found out we were across the street in what felt like 'communal ski lodge' accommodation. Upon requesting upgrade, the hotel claimed to be overbooked... come on, Whistler was […] empty!! This is a town with a serious dose of 'Post Olympic Hangover' and plenty of businesses are struggling. Don't settle for substandard accommodation - seek out 4 and 5 star properties and bargain on price! As for this hotel... if you are 18 and want to get stoned from second hand smoke, go for it.
