"Beautiful!"
This hotel is the perfect place for a romantic getaway! Mountain scenery and cozy rooms. We had a fireplace in ours and were staying in the Gold area of the hotel which came with one of the best breakfast buffets I've ever had.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"4.5 stars but lacking"
The hotel is beautiful, particularly the pools, hot tubs, change and steam room. I was not impressed with paying $30.00 per day for self parking and was not told about the surcharge in advance of my stay. The king size bed was too soft and sagged inward. $11.00 for a kid's peanut butter sandwich - only in Whistler!! I felt unnecessarily gouged by this […] hotel under the pretense of the Fairmont name. "Fairmont Whistler vacation"
A few things made our stay less than we had hoped for: We had no car and had to take taxi cabs to some lower village destinations because there was never a shuttle as had beenpromised. It was annoying and the hotel bell staff was inattentive in this regard. We had booked a suite, but the room we were assigned faced a tentlike facility and offered us […] absolutely no privacy. We asked for another room and accepted a room (1040) that was not a suite, but was a better location. We called to report that our toilet ran continually, and no one ever came to fix it. Also, whenevery we were in the bathroom we could hear banging as though furniture was being moved in the room above. It was continual, so must be from some other noise source. It did not disturb our sleep however since it could only be heard when we were in the bathroom. The paving surrounding the swimming pool is in dire need of repair. It is dirty, difficult to walk on, disintegrating and very low end. The pool area should really be much nicer for a hotel of the stature that Fairmont aspires to be. Other than those things, the staff, the hotel and breakfast were all quite nice. We like Fairmont and stayed at the beautiful Vancouver Airport hotel at the beginning and end of our trip. Thank you. "Fairmont"
We enjoyed our stay.. Hotel staff really friendly. We went to the brunch on Easter morning, the food was great as was the service. Not cheap but we expected that and had a nice brunch anyway. We had our dog and she enjoyed it probably the most times in a day she got out walking. The only negative was that dusting did not seem to be a daily occurrence. […] But overall we had a nice comfortable room and we would go back and stay there. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I've always liked the hotel and its reception areas. The room furniture was very old and the carpet had stains in it, the caulking around the tub had mold in it. The food and beverages were very expensive leading us to eat outside of the hotel for every meal, we would have preferred to take some meals in the hotel just for the convenience of it, but […] it was just too expensive.
