I think this is a solid 3 star hotel. Its location offers convenient access to the city of Montreal and environs. The staff were readily willing to speak English and could answer all questions. They were also courteous and helpful. The King Size bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel was not noisy. I asked for 2 special requests and got them. The […] staff patiently explained the parking system (Parking was included - in with a ticket, but out with your room key), and also provided a special pass for us to use after we had checked out, when when we told them we would like to leave our car there for the remainder of the day while we went touring.I stay in a lot of nice business hotels and am normally a very tough critic, but am hard pressed to find anything to complain about the Sandman Longeuil. "Friendly and Convenient"
Incredibly friendly staff! We speak very little french and this was the last night before we were leaving the country and wanted to relax and stay in. I needed to order a pizza and after trying to research it through the computer to translate it became too difficult. I asked the lady at the front desk and she was so good! I told her what I wanted and […] she found it on the menu, called it in for me, and made sure they delivered it to my room! So nice. Room was nice and clean with a good view of the city and sunset. There is not much to see in the immediate area, but it is one short metro ride to the island with La Ronde, Biosphere, etc. It made it a fantastic visit to not have to deal with parking or carrying car keys on roller coasters. "Good choice if you are using the metro"
Hotel is located across the street from a metro station, so if you plan to use the metro it is a great choice. It is located along the river front, so an added bonus was that we got to watch a fireworks display from the parking lot. The staff was not very flexible - we arrived 5 minutes after the kitchen closed and could not get desert - and they do […] not have enough elevators. This may not seem like a big deal until you are competing with two bus loads of tourists for two elevators - it took 20 minutes to get to my room after getting the key and walking 11 flights of stairs with a stroller was not an option. The family enjoyed the pool and I enjoyed the exercise room. Can't comment on the food quality as we were not able to get served, but the pricing for food and drinks was quite high. Decent downtown hotels were all booked for a convention, so I looked for a hotel near the metro. Location is very convenient to the metro stop; there is not much else here close by, but the metro is so convenient that downtown is a few minutes away. We arrived at 2am and gentleman at counter said he didn't have enough Canadian Dollars to exchange. We spent about 40 minutes in the morning trying to find a place to exchange our US Dollars since the airport Exchange was closed when we arrived at 1am. You are also walk, bike or take the Metro one stop […] to the parks and activities on nearby Ile Sainte-Helens and Ile Notre-Dame. The location is a perfect for anyone planning to use a bicycle to tour the city. You can either take a bike trail over the bridge to town or carry your bike on the Metro to your desired starting point. This works well for getting back to the hotel when you’ve gone a little further than you planned. The rooms are clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated and reasonably priced. The staff has always been helpful and courteous, and able to communicate with those of us who haven’t mastered French. There is ample free parking. This was my first trip to Canada and first hotel booking with hotels.com . The staff are great and speak both French and English very well. I cant hear any noise from outside the building which is great if you don't like city noise. "Perfect location for car travellers"
If you travel to Montréal by car, this hotel is perfectly easy out-of-the-city to drive to, right off the autoroute and next to the Métro subway station making getting in and out of downtown easy. Some of the rooms have an amazing view of the city! We had a perfect view from our window of La Ronde Six Flag's amusement park, which was very nice on fireworks […] night! Overall the hotel was extremely satisfactory. We had some water damage in the carpet outside our room which didn't look very nice but everything else was good. The metro station is right next to the hotel which made our going around Montreal very convenient and we didn't have to take our car in and worry about directions or parking.
