The hotel requires an overall update. As the staff was friendly (check-in, restaurant (breakfast) and Bistro bar, the overall appearance of the hotel is "old". Lobby has an odory smell and kind of dingy looking. Escalators and hallways dirty. Hallways have old red carpet, hallway redish and doors red and appear to have not seen new paint for a number […] of years. Lay-out from elevator through fire-doors rather strange. Room was clean, but carpeting worn and many areas dirty. Not enough electrical outlets. To hook up computer or re-charge cell phone only an extension bar on the ground was available. TV was not HD quality (not that it matters a lot), bedding was fine and clean. Towels in washroom old and hard, and shower head for a person >6feet far to low. "Nice Hotel"
Initially I was put off as we entered the parking lot because the attendant was so rude and dismissive of my wife and I. I'm not sure what that was all about but the parking attendant couldn't have been less helpful. The room had obviously been renovated fairly recently because it looked new and modern. Everything was in great shape. As noted in some […] previous reviews the hotel has a fair bit of noise transference between the rooms. You might want to invest in a pair of ear plugs. The staff front desk staff were helpful and friendly. The area was fine - looked and felt safe to us. The hotel is across from a large park. There are several restaurants down the street. The Metro is around a 10 minute walk away and takes about 15 minutes to get downtown. We did not use our car for the 3 days that were there. We would stay here again. J'ai beaucoup apprécié connaître votre hôtel. Récemment rénové, j'ai beaucoup aimé la décoration et surtout la propreté. Par contre, j'ai été réveillée par les fêtards qui ont fait du bruit jusqu'à 2h00-2h30 du matin. La sécurité est venue les avertir... mais le mal était fait. J'en étais quitte pour de l'insomnie avant que le sommeil ne se fasse sentir […] à nouveau. Suggestion : prévenir vos invités de respecter le sommeil des autres après disons... 11h00 du soir, chuchoter dans les couloirs (au lieu de parler haut et fort) et retenir les portes de chambres (au lieu de les laisser "claquer" toutes seules). Très bien en général., Déçu un peu de la rapidité du service au chambre le soir. Je suis, moi même une ancienne femme de chambre. J'ai demander à deux reprise de m'envoyer des serviette supplémentaire.(en soirée) . Et malheureusement les deux lits qu'on avaient dans notre chambre, ils étais très dure pour nous.
