This hotel is soooo close to everything...the clubs, the malls, the metro station, everything! The outside of the hotel looks really ghetto but the inside is clean and nice. This was our 2nd time staying at the Hotel Europa and we were happily surprised! The first time was about 6 years ago, and it was just ok. We booked this second time only because the hotel we usually stay at, about 3 times a year, was already booked. Our room was great! It appeared to have been recently done over, including hardware floors! The rooms […] were very clean. The beds were comfy with soft linens. There is free Wi-Fi in the rooms. The location was great: close to everything in downtown. The only set back is no available parking from the hotel directly. We parked in a garage one block away, but it really was no big deal. My friends and I came down to Montreal for a one-night stay for the P!nk concert at the Bell Centre. This hotel was extremely convenient as it was literally across the road, meaning we didn't have to rush at all to find parking or get congested trying to get out after the concert. We had a lovely dinner at the restaurant, and Cora's being attached was […] a quick and yummy breakfast. The room itself was in good condition, but we weren't really paying much attention to that - it was really just a place to sleep after the concert. It was close to a lot of shopping, and for people like my friends and I who grew up in English communities and were not immersed in French, the staff is bilingual and friendly. The only downside was parking, in that the hotel did not provide any. To park across the road was an additional fee and the valet there was not exactly friendly, which isn't the fault of the hotel, but still put a damper on the experience. Just saw PINK at Bell Centre and the hotel was a perfect place for a concert with friends. So close, we just walked, but car parking is an extra $20 overnight across the street. Added a cot in the room for $25 extra, which was very comfortable, and the room was big enough for it and all our stuff, room 429. "Best Western Plus Montreal Downtown - TINY ROOMS"
This hotel is close to many attractions in MTL but there aren't many other benefits. The rooms were so tiny that there is no place to put your bags. We were supposed to be given a queen bed and ended up with a bed the size of a double. This Best Western considers beds the size of a double to be queen beds. The room was so small that it would be impossible […] to fit a queen in the room. The double bed took up the entire room leaving walking space similar to what you would find in prison. Also, the floors were laminate. Considering MTL has plenty of snow that is probably the worst thing to put on the floor. When you take off your boots there were constantly puddles in our room. (The room is so small that the puddles end up in the few square feet u have to walk). I'm pretty disappointed with our stay there and wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone else. My friend and I booked a wheelchair accessible room and we were allocated a very nice spacious room but the wheelchair was too wide to get into the bathroom. The front desk staff were just fantastic in resolving the problem by giving us 2 rooms at no extra charge, one of which was smaller but had a large opening to the bathroom and another large room […] next door so we could comfortably socialize etc. The only restaurant in the hotel was "Cora's" open only for breakfast and lunch but there are many restaurants for all tastes in the immediate vicinity.The rooms were very clean.
