"Great hotel for partying"
We stayed at another hotel during our stay in Montreal but moved to the Best Western Plus Montreal Downtown-Hotel Europa because of lodging rate increase for one night. The Best Western was closer to the crowds on Saint Catherine, as a result the guests were younger and noisier. The room was small and crowded. We are glad that we had only one night […] of lodging. The one positive was that the location was close to the bus to the airport. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The room smelled like smoke and in lieu of running an air purifier (which the hotel staff acknowledged they had), the room was simply sprayed with air freshner which made the smell worse.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Central and convenient"
Fair price for a great downtown location. The hotel is less than a block from the airport bus route stop, in a quiet street but conveniently located downtown, close to the busy shopping Sainte Catherine street. My queen size bed room was a little small by US standards, but very clean and quiet. The coffee maker and large screen TV made up for it. Fridge […] in the room is very convenient if you're staying a few days, and the staff is discreet but efficient, friendly and helpful. The front desk helped me figure out the bus system, they even gave me change in coins so I could get on the bus. Overall, nice and pleasant stay in Montreal. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Positive experience with Hotel Europa"
Convenient to all public transportation links, shopping, many fine restaurants, etc.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Cramped Crapper"
The hotel room was very nice but the bathroom was very small. I had to sit with my legs to the side of the toilet. I am only 5' 10" tall.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"If you are on a budget.."
It was affordable and a place to sleep. Front desk was very nice. Bed washugger very comfortable. Room was full of dust behind the furniture, that I discovered when I dropped my earing on the floor. There were not enough plugs in the room. I would stay closer to old Montreal next time. Close Metro. Hotel bar had great wings!Genuine Expedia guest review

Was ok. but very small rooms. Bath room size and AC sound are big Minus.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient and reasonable"
Hotel is located downtown. Reasonable walks to attractions such as Jazz Festival, McGill, Old Town etc. Airport bus stop (#747) is 3mins walk away. It is close to the red light district though which may be a problem for some. During my stay, a group of teen agers where having a rowdy time till 3:00am in the morning. This happened only for 1 night. There […] were no other incidents on the other nights. Free wireless internet is convenient but signal is not very strong inside the guest rooms. Nevertheless, rooms are clean and comfortable. Bed is nice. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Central location; questionable surroundings"
Despite the room being small and the hallway not being air-conditioned, I would probably stay there again for a night, but not for an extended amount of time. The front desk staff was very helpful and the park, although not on the premises, was still convenient. I wouldn't recommend staying there with young children if you want to avoid explaining all […] the gentlemen's clubs and XXX massage parlors. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient location"
Room was small, not to the point that is was an issue. The room was very clean except for the under side of 1 lampshade, I am guessing was a fluke. Parking was very close however a bit pricey. Walking distance from Rue St. Catherine; which is where all the store were.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not a great hotel fro business traveller"
Small room and old building. It's good for the tourist but not for business traveller.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Mixed feeling"
We were in room 701 and all this review is strictly related to this room. I have mixed feeling as it is a suite with Two communicating rooms (so very convenient) in a very big appartment. BUT A/C did not work correctly ; the room is extremely noisy (from the elevator mechanics ?). SO do not choose this if you think that it is better than 2 individual […] rooms. "good location & value, ok quality"
Overall nothing fancy, but a good value. Positives: The price was really good. If you want to be near the Cresent St/St Catherine St area, this is a good location. There's a gym (although it's small w limited equipment/machines). Rooms & hotel clean. Negatives: Dingy hallways, small rooms, loud AC unit, can hear loud people in hallway.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best Western Europa"
I went to Montreal to get eye surgery down the road from the hotel, which was the perfect location. however, i wasnt expecting to take my shower until the morning of because i couldnt take one for 24hrs after the surgery. i went to take a shower and the shower handle was broken and i told the front desk before i headed to the surgery that morning and […] expected to have it fixed by the time i got back. after having the surgery i went up stairs to make sure, but alas, it was still broken. what should have been a period of rest, i had to go all the way back downstairs, talk to the front desk, go back upstairs and wait for a man to fix it. it was an extremely uncomfortable 45 minutes waiting for a shower to be fixed that should have been fixed hours before hand. i was leaving the next day and was unable to take a shower because of my surgery restrictions. the only good things about my experience there were the fact that my room was very clean and well presented, and the woman whom i originally talked to upon entering the hotel put me in a quiet room knowing i had eye surgery and knowing there was extremely important hockey game happening just down the road. Bad maintenance accountability and promtness. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"mysterious smells"
The bathroom had a mysterious moldy smell that was very strong. There was only a small hand towel in the bathroom, no wash towels or big bath towels. I had to call the front desk to have them bring up some towels, still no wash towels! Oh, well. The lobby was old style elegance with fountains and pools. "Will do if you just want a place to sleep & don't mind a noisy air conditioning unit"
Was in a nonsmoking room but it smelled like it used to be a smoking room. The sheets came off the mattress by the time morning came (and it was just me in a double bed). The air conditioning unit/fan was had a very loud, constant hum. The faucet for the sink had a big leak. The airline lost my luggage for 2 & 1/2 days and so I had more pressing things […] on my mind or I would have asked to change rooms. When I asked for it to be fixed, I came back into the room to no leak. When I turned the faucet on at bedtime, the big leak was back. I was exhausted and just closed the the bathroom door so I would not hear it. The same thing happened the following day though I explained what had happened. By then I just wanted to leave so I did not pursue. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Wrong choice for me. I had no need to be downtown and it was a hassle. There is no easy parking, $20 a day public parking across the street. Drag your luggage.....no breakfast with the room, but the Cora downstairs was good. All in all not for me, perhaps ok for the downtown crowd.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient Location"
Good price for a short stay. We were in a corner room, very stuffy and dark and gloomy. One small window looked over at another building. The room was not as clean as it should have been. I don't think anyone washed the laminate flooring between guests( spill on floor was not cleaned). Hotel was recently renovated. Not sure if I would choose this hotel […] again. "SMALL"
Stay was fine, location was excellent. Stayed there one night for a hockey game. 400 meters from the bell center was perfect for us since we partied a lot and we just walked. The hotel room was clean but ultra small. The bathroom was clean as well but very small. I'm 6 feet tall and sitting on the toilet meant almost having my legs in the bathtub (no […] joke my knees touching the tub). I wouldn't stay there for 2 or three nights because of the size of the room (smaller queen room they call it). However for one night like we did it was acceptable. I fail to see how they rate hotels with 3 stars or 4 stars. This one was rated 4 stars but felt more like a 3 star. Parking is not free and is 19.50$ for 24 hours when you pay at the desk. If you pay directly at the lot its 25$ Might be nice to put your name on your car keys because they put them all in one big box and they ask you to identify your key when you want them. Maybe putting the room number on your keys would have been a nice touch from them. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Small but adequate rooms. Thoughtful staff."
The hotel is wll located in downtown Montreal. Rooms are very small but adequate. Internet service was poor to barely adequate. No parking on site but available nearby. Staff were very helpful. Although I had made the booking incorrectly for the wrong day, I was given a room without hassle and the manager sorted things out the next day.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Location"
Great Location but the rooms were small and not very comfortable. Not suitable for a family but good if you just need a place to sleep after a long night in downtown Montreal.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Generally good for the price."
The room was very clean but very small. The paint around the windows was quite dingy and there was no view and little natural light. There were not enough electrical outlets -- one of the bedside lamps had no outlet and I had to unplug the coffee machine to plug in my computer. The bare wooden floor was quite cold and I hadn't brought any slippers with […] me, expecting carpeting, so I had to go out and buy some. Other than these few deficits, my stay was pleasant. The location was excellent. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Small but very comfortable."
The room was just fine. If someone is looking for a big room, it's not the place. We were looking for a comfortable place to lay our head downtown Montreal. It's walking distance from the Bell Center. We had a great night sleep. The staff was very welcoming. The room and bathroom were just small. But just what we needed.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Visit to Concordia"
Mediocre stay in downtown Montreal. Serves good purpose for a 1 night visit but a longer visit is stretching it with this hotel. Great breakfast at Coras and lots of good restaurants around. Location is the hotel's greatest assestGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great location, super nice staff."
The staff were helpful and very pleasant. The hotel is a great location and easy walking distance to shopping, Bell Centre and Crescent Street. Cora's breakfast place is attached to hotel so very convenient. Hotel is clean but basic. No room service.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Best Western-Europa"
Hotel was close to downtown Montreal which was a must for me. Room was nice but very small. The last day before departure, we noticed some little ants roaming around. I'm not talking about one ant either but roughly around 10 to 15 ants which is a definit no no for me. I guess when you don't want to pay much, you don't get much. My fault!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Hotel rooms are very small. Hallways are very narrow. Felt like I was on a boat. The hotel lobby was loud and over crowed upon arriving. "Clean but felt a little old and dated"
Best Western Plus Montreal Downtown-Hotel Europa has a great location very close to Rue Sainte Catharine and Crescent Street with lots of great restaurants. The receptionist who greeted us was extremely helpful and offered us a map of the city, gave us lots of relevant tips and recommendations without us having to ask. The hotel itself however, while […] perfectly clean felt very old and dated. Downtown Montreal has much to see and this hotel is a great place to start. It is five minutes to the Bell Centre or St. Catherine St. The rooms are small, but clean. Simple accommodation at a good price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel Europa Mintreal"
The hotel location is excellent if you need to go downtown Montreal or want to attend an event et the Bell Centre. However, if you select a standard room with a queen bed, expect to get a a very small room and if you go to the front desk and ask for a larger room, they will charge you for it even if they have extra room available.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
