Located in the heart of the city, the Hilton Montreal Bonaventure is a penthouse-style hotel within the top floors of the 17-story Place Bonaventure business and shopping complex. An elevator ride from the hotel's lobby connects with Montreal's ever expanding underground city where one can go shopping in elegant boutiques, visit the theatre district and art galleries, or attend an exciting sporting event. The hotel is located nine miles from Dorval Airport.

Built for the 1967 World's Fair, this Hilton hotel has a large lobby with bar, restaurant, and conference rooms opening onto a rambling rooftop garden. The garden has a stream, waterfalls, trees, paths, and groups of resident ducks, all reminiscent of Québec's Bonaventure River. The outdoor swimming pool is open all year and is supervised by a lifeguard. An on-site health club offers cardio machines and free weights. Wireless internet is free in public areas.

Le Castillon - Tudor-style formal dining room with serene lighting, heavy chandeliers, exposed wood beams, and stone walls. Daily table d'hôte menu featuring French cuisine, small selection of Québecois specialties, and fresh Angus beef. Rooftop terrace service available during summer months. Open for lunch and dinner.
Belvedere Bar - Lobby bar, lounge, and coffee bar. Light breakfast, à la carte lunch and dinner, buffet, snacks. Comfortable, intimate seating areas on multiple levels, widescreen TV showing sports and news. Open daily from early morning until late night.
Bar Soleil - Rooftop poolside bar. Grilled specialties for lunch. Cocktails, beer, and wine. Open afternoons during summer months.
The Hilton Montreal Bonaventure's outdoor swimming pool is open all year. In cooler weather, guests may enter the pool from an indoor area and swim outside. A lifeguard is on duty while the pool is open, from early morning to late night. A large sundeck borders the pool, and Bar Soleil offers poolside drinks and grilled lunches in summertime.

The wait for the elevator was not acceptable. I'm not sure if there was only one elevator in service however the line up to get one was at least 10 - 15 minutes long. The wait for pick up of our car was way too long, since only one valet was working at the time.The amount of light in our room at night was not sufficirnt to read in bed. The main problem I had with the hotel was that the outdoor heated swimming pool (that is supposed to be open all year) was closed for the entire 4 days we were there, so we could not use the pool at all. I've stayed here twice. Convenient access to the underground city with plenty of shops and quick places to eat. Easy walking distance to metro downtown and the old city.
