"Great hotel"
I would recommend this hotel to any college students trying to go up to Montreal for a great weekend. The rooms are big and it is only one block from a liquor store as well as st Catherine street. Great stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Dirty and run down, but close to Metro, shopping"
The carpets and bedding looked old and dusty. I felt like I wanted to wear sandals as soon as I got out of the shower so I wouldn't get athletes foot. The pillows were old and not very supportive and the TV was little and the old tube type. The pool on the penthouse had clean water in it but the astro-turf surrounding the pool looked cheesy and was […] prime for bacteria. They had pictures up in the pool area that looked like they were 1970's vacation promo posters. They were sun-faded and in no way set a mood that made you feel you were living the high life. They would be better off just taking them down. The staff was friendly and helpful though and the hotel is located about a block from the Metro, a shopping mall and large cinema. I was disappointed on how old and run down the place was. The kitchen had a full stove but a very small refrigerator and microwave. Refrigerator freezer needed defrosting. Carpeting was coming undone. There were steps inbetween the living room and rest of the area. There wasn't free wi-fi so we paid for it for one night and response time was pretty […] bad. Parking was the biggest issue. No way could you find a place to park on the street. We paid $20 per day to park at the ramp two blocks away at the suggestion of this hotel. Location is good, hotel is so-so but for the price it was ok...Be warned...two rooms we rented had peeling pain, the bathtub was dodgy as far as cleanliness was concerned. We had great customer service the entire time. The lobby is nicely renovated, compared to the outside look of the building. Our room was a newly renovated room, we were very happy.
