"Great value and quality hotel"
This was our second time staying at this hotel. We were originally booked at another hotel which was terrible, so got a great last minute deal on the Hotels.com iPad app. The staff are very nice, and called up a few minutes after we checked in to make sure the room was too our liking. The rooms are huge, with a separate living room and bedroom. Vancouver […] rooms seem to be pretty small on average, so this was an exception. The proximity to the Canada line and waterfront is also great. Really nothing bad to say about this place. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Small intimate hotel. Very comfortable. Nice restuarant connected with it. Better room for significantly less than what my business companions paid. I would highly recommend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"An amazing stay in a lovely hotel"
I selected the hotel because of the reasonable price and location near the convention center. I was absolute delighted with the kind, efficient, gracious and attentive staff, the imbeccably clean and comfortable rooms with beautiful decor, and an ambience that made my stay feel more like a holiday than a busy conference. There was plenty of room to […] work including a nice desk and a very comfortable sofa. The staff greeted me with a map and provided very accurate directions to every shop and restaurant I needed. The hotel staff's advice on area dining was excellent, and it was a very short walk to the convention center. The hotel is a short walk to Stanley Park and many luxury shops including Hermes, Burberry, and Cartier. I will be back as soon as feasible. And I have told my friends and family to choose this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"too short"
nice large room, I wish I could have stayed more than one night. The room service was so-so and the food was so-so. The meal wasn't exactly as described by the menu, and took forever to get to me, but for that they comped me the meal. Can't really complain about free but is the reason I don't normally get room service. The bellhop on the day I checked […] in was awesome, friendly without being a suckup and gave me great advise. The bellhop on check out day wasn't quite so nice, and wouldn't let me keep my car for the whole day until after my seminar. I made the mistake of asking if I could keep my car in until that evening. As soon as I checked out he wanted the car out. That was really fricking annoying since the room was pricey AND I was going to pay for another day of parking. I'd stay there again, because the rooms were *very* nice, spacious, and most of the staff accommodating. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Boutique Hotel In Vancouver"
While our stay in Vancouver was brief, the Hotel Soliel provided a comfortable and well located base for our sightseeing and dining. The hotel is well appointed and the staff very helpful. The rooms tend to be a bit small but are nicely decorated and clean. We hope to visit Vancouver in the future and would consider staying at this hotel again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"no problem"
We were attending a conference at the Convention Center, just a few blocks away (which is why location was a primary reason for having chosen this lodging). The hotel was fine: the staff was very pleasant, the location great. Besides close to the Convention Center, it was a short walk from Gastown (restaurant district), Robson St. (touristy shopping […] street, with lots of great restaurants, including Hon's Chinese), and the Vancouver Art Gallery (with filter-triggering initials). Vancouver has great public transportation, so it was easy to get to Granville Island (which would have been a longish walk), Kitsilano (with a 137 m outdoor pool!), and UBC (including its anthopological museum). We'd stay in Hotel Le Soleil again! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Hotel Soleil"
Staff were wonderful, exchanged currency, speedy check in and out, great valet service. Hotel restaurant was nice, it claims to be upscale fine dining but thats a bit of a stretch. Room was beautiful inside, was a corner suite, we had a lovely view of a brick wall on one side, and the street view from the front. Only complaint and its an important one […] is that the Heating/Airconditioning unit in our room was extremely noisy, to the point neither my husband nor I got any sleep, every 10 minutes a loud whirring followed by a huge clunk. Not acceptable at all. I've stayed in lots of hotels and it shouldn't sound like that EVER! The bed was SO comfortable unfortunately spent no time sleeping though. Just awful. At the price we paid a good nights sleep is very important! Otherwise just beautiful. Very close to everything. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hotel LeSoleil - close to convention center"
We had an excellent stay. My daughter particularly liked having her own room in the suite. It was walking distance to everything we wanted to see - convention center, cruise dock, Gastown. Easy to use the bus system. My only complaint is that they didn't fold the towels in the bathroom so it didn't look cleaned up - I didn't need fresh towels, but neatening […] it up would have been nice. "Watch fees on the backend"
Hotel seemed like a good deal until we checked out and returned home. 3 days later there was a several hundred dollar charge on our credit card with no recourse for us-you sign away your right to dispute the hotel's service fees when you check in and they can name their price. This hotel will take advantage of that. Better to stay in the pricer hotels […] down the street because it will cost the same in the end. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Boutique Hotel near Convention Centre"
What a great little hotel! I was in town for a conference with 9,000 attendees, so hotel rooms were a bit hard to locate. This little boutique hotel is a gem. Close to the Convention Centre, easy to access by train from the airport, very walkable to a number of great cafes and restaurants. "Great boutique hotel"
Extraordinary hotel in the heart of downtown, a short walk to the waterfront and conference center. My only comment would be that as they don't have their own fitness center, they should throw in the cost of working out next door at the YWCA for free.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Walking distance to the convention center."
Hotel is centrally located and easy enough to walk to the convention (even in the rain/snow). The front desk personnel were accommodating. The concierge, Brett, went above and beyond to assist me with information about things to do when not at my meeting. Thank you, Brett.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very nice, centrally located hotel"
Very nice, stylish hotel. Rooms are above average, not just room & bath, but room, bath & separate sitting room w/ second TV. Minibar, free coffee, tea and chocolate, very nice. Centrally located, restaurants and nightlife a few blocks to the east, good access to public transport including subway. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hint: There is a "business […] centre" with free internet access and printers on the 3rd floor which can be accessed with your room key if you want to avoid paying the rather hefty surcharge for Wi-Fi. The room prices are actually quite cheap for what you get at this hotel; however, breakfast, parking and Wi-Fi are not included and can add up quickly if you are staying a while. Try not to go there in a car if you can, the hotel location is right next to the Burrard Street subway station, and public transport is quite convenient for the whole Metro area, including the airport. "I'd recommend this hotel"
My room was clean and well maintained. Very roomy with a front room which can be separated from the bedroom for couples with different schedules. A convenient walk to the Vancouver Convention Center. Good for the business traveler who doesn't require the frills (lounges, bars, multiple restaurants). I would stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great find in Vancouver"
I was attending a conference at the Vancouver convention center, and needed a hotel close by. The conference hotels were more expensive than Le Soleil, but I can't believe they could have been nicer. I had a queen suite, and it was really lovely. I felt was too bad I was there on business alone, because it would have been a great vacation hotel. There […] are some excellent restaurants nearby, I highly recommend Italian Kitchen and its sister restaurant, Coast. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hotel Le Soleil in Vancouver, BC - near perfection"
This boutique hotel is in the heart of Vancouver, walking distance to all areas of downtown. It is both comfortable and romantic, and the service is perfect. Everyone is friendly. Five star hotel in every way, at a three star price - I would never stay anywhere else if we have the opportunity to revisit this great city.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quick trip to Vancouver"
I was only there for one night on business, but the room was comfortable and the check-in and check-out were painless. Also restaurant had a great variety of meal options, which was great because I didn't have time to search for anywhere else to eat. Suffice to say, the meal was excellent and the service was great. This is a great hotel in a great location. Staff was helpful and fun. Loved my room. "can't check out early in the morning and was overcharged eventually"
I was pretty happy with this hotel except the last moment. I had a 6:10am flight so I had to check out around 3am, when they told me that their accounting dept. was closed and won't open until 8am. They told me they would mail me the receipt about all charges. I waited for two weeks, only to find that they charged my credit card some $110 without telling […] me what that was. I called them and asked, and was told that was the "parking cost" ($30/night). I told them I only parked the (rental) car for one night and they credited me back the extra charges. In summary I was disappointed by three things: 1. The fact that the "accounting department" is closed until 8am seems ridiculous. What would customers do when they have to check out very early in the morning? Why don't they consider constomers' convenience? 2. Charging my credit card directly without giving me an option is another problem -- because I would have to pay an international transaction charge to my credit card company (I am from US). I offered to pay cash at the front desk, which was of course rejected because the accounting depts was closed. 3. Charging me without showing me the bill does not sound professional. Actually they did make a mistake by overcharging me. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
