Rejuvenation facilities at the Century Plaza Hotel & Spa include a chemical-free swimming pool decorated with European murals that the property shares with an on-site European-style spa. The hotel is 5 blocks from the Vancouver Seawall, a 12-mile pathway that starts at the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre on Burrard Inlet and winds around the harbor past Stanley Park and Granville Island on its way to the beaches in Kitsilano.

This was the worst hotel ever! The rooms were dirty. The rugs were stained and appear to have never seen a vacuum. Furniture all old and worn out. Bedroom was tiny and beds very very old! Wonderful from when we checked in until when we checked out... The young man who checked us in had a great personality and made us feel very welcome, the door man helped us with directions the whole stay and would even ask us if we found our destinations and how we enjoyed them when we came back. Close to Robson Street, Yaletown and lots of restaurants. It is also close to St. Paul's Hospital. The room was virtually soundproof to Burrard St which is a very busy street. The Absolute Spa is well serviced and a good reason to visit.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Expedia VIP experience"
When we checked in we presented our Expedia VIP card to see if it made a difference. We had already booked a double twin room with sofa bed, so we could not be upgraded and I could understand that. I asked about a better floor and later checkout. The Expedia VIP card did not seem to carry any clout--we were told we could check out one (1) hour latter […] than the normal time of 11:00 AM. The desk staff did not treat us as a VIP, and they made me feel like I was asking for a "handout", which I was not. Later that day I received an email from Expedia asking about our VIP experience. I had a bad experience and let them know it. I had already decided not to use the VIP card again. Apparently Expedia contacted the Hotel and the manager, Amin, who called me to personally apologize. He offered to move us to a penthouse suite which we declined because it was our last night. He wanted to personally bring us to the penthouse suite to show us around. He extended our check out time which we accepted. Amin made all the difference in turning our mediocre experience into a pleasant one. His professionalism and personal touch in contacting us went beyond expectations. We will definitely return next year. Amin restored our confidence in the VIP card. The window lock in our room was broken, we have a 3 years old and were worried about her being able to open the window (we were on 22nd floor). The hotel was very nice. The pull out bed was terrible. I did not get a good night sleep while I was there. Also, we like to get fresh air so opened the door to the balcony and the people below us were smokers and the smoke driffed straight up to our room, so had to keep the door shut.
