While my room was "updated", it wasn't comfortable. The bathtub was old with grungy non-slip stickers on the bottom. If I left the closet door open, then it blocked the entrance to the bathroom. I stayed at this hotel for a business conference as is was recommended by a website hosting the show. The price was fair and upon initial seeing the place I thought it would be great. However Iearned when I got up to my room after checking in that the hotel is NOT equipped with Wifi internet service, each room has 1 hardware (ethernet wire) to plug […] in to access internet. Being that I was traveling with only my Macbook air and ipad (both with no ethernet port) I realized that there was no way I would be able to handle my emails etc. from the hotel room. When I went down to the front desk to explain this the staff was very rude and told me they would have to charge for 1 night, no exceptions. I ended up having to find a local mac store and purchase an adapter just to stay at this hotel, and this left me binded to the desk my whole stay. Nice hotel but they really need to understand the importance of wireless internet, it is 2011 not 1998!!!!! Read more

overall i can recommend the hotel. good location ( i went to a convention in the convention center and it was only 10 min walk from the hotel to the convention center). many restaurants and shops nearby. there are even small grocery stores nearby. Except for one little thing that was annoying. i had no internet access the last day i stayed. all suddenly […] i could not connect to the internet (broadband modem...no wifi). I so called the front desk and they connected me to the technical service. Then i was spending 20 min on the phone telling the person all kinds of technical settings and in the end they could not help me. So they said that they would call me back and try to resolve the problem. I said that I am a "guest" in the hotel and I am not going to spend my last evening in front of my computer trying to get my internet to run again. So that was rather disappointing experience for me esp. when you have to check your emails ...in the end i had to use my cell phone with roaming to check my emails. ;( Read more

I was nervous at first booking a room at the Blue Horizon because several reviews mentioned it was being renovated. But the renovations (at least to the rooms) seemed to be complete by the time I arrived in Vancouver. I couldn't have been happier with my choice! The Blue Horizon is in the heart of downtown Vancouver and everything I wanted to see was […] within an easy 5 -15 minute walk. The renovations are quite nice. The rooms are moderately sized, as are the bathrooms, but they're all quite comfortable and lovely. Every room is a "corner" room, so you're guaranteed to have something of a view. I booked a higher floor room (2204) and the views were amazing, both during the day and night. The swimming pool area could use a renovation. Hopefully that's next on their list. Overall I was very satisfied with my stay and will certainly come back to the Blue Horizon. Read more

The room was great with a spectacular view of the ocean.Bed and pillows were very comfortable and there was a nice Asian influence to decor.With a small outside balcony, and a corner view with windows and reflecting mirror we were able to watch the sunset over the ocean from inside or out. It would have been nice to have a small table and 2 chairs on […] the balcony...that would have been perfect instead of taking inside bed table and chair outside.Robson street is close to Stanley park and there are great restaurants...especially Korean. As the hotel reception was under renovation and the hottub was not working , the overall rating was lower as it would have been 4.5 out of 5 if the above had been better. Hotel had parking, but 15 per day. No wireless inrternet (or at least not yet). Even wired internet was a pain to use. Cable signal was very poor, about 1/2 of the channels were very fuzzy. This hotel has many issues. When we checked in, cups in the room were dirty and lavatory was partially clogged. Soon after we checked-out, I found I left my luggage in the room. I called them. We have already arrived in Victoria, so we changed the plan an went back to there to pick-up the next day. But, woman at front didn't know I called and also insisted […] that they didn't have my luggage. I asked her to check again, because I'm 100% sure that I left in the room. However, she just said that they have already checked. Later, I emailed to them. Front desk supervisor replied, and eventually they found and sent it to me. I asked him where he found my luggage, but he never response. I suffered discomfort, and lose time and money to go back to there. They have poor support, so I NEVER recommend this hotel. Read more

Our vehicle was broken into in the hotel parking lot. Staff at front desk and security don't care and no offer of restitution or discount on room at checkout. Absolute disregard for return of our business. Disgraceful in the age of customer service. Very nice hotel on Robson Street. Plenty of places to eat in the area and close to lots of the tourist spots. Tour buses also stop right outside the front door which is handy. The room has wired internet, no wifi in the room, the cable is provided. My room was on Level 7 which has an ice machine. I was surprised how loud this was not only when people […] were getting ice but also in the making of the ice. My room was right next to the machine so probably best to avoid levels with the ice machines if you're a light sleeper. The house-keeping staff are very insistent if they don't get a chance to clean the room. When I left the do not disturb sign on the door, they rang me and left a message to say they did not clean the room. They came back later in the evening then wondering if wanted the room cleaned. I recently stayed at the BH and must say I'll definitely be back. The updates were great and my corner suite was very quiet and roomy. My only complaint was the internet which didn't seem to work half the time but then again it was free.Luckily I had an Android phone with a wifi hotspot so it wasn't the end of the world.

Each room occupies a corner of the building providing windows on two sides and multiple views. The room was very comfortable, quite large and relatively quiet considering I was located right across from the elevators (I tend to be a light sleeper but was not woken even once by elevator noise). Staff were helpful and pleasant. Apparently there is a gym […] and pool, but I wasn't equipped to visit, so can't comment on those facilities. It was an easy 10 walk downhill to the waterfront and to the Pacific Centre (typical large downtown mall). I would highly recommend this hotel. It is a perfect location, beautiful rooms. The only comment I have is their gym, it is only 2 old treadmills, but who needs to run inside when you have such beautiful scenery in this city! Absolutely stunning hotel. Customer service top notch.

Capilano Suspension Bridge에 가는 셔틀이 호텔 바로 앞에 서는 등 위치가 편리합니다. Vancouver Convention Centre가 도보로 15분 정도이고 downtown과 한국 식당 들이 도보로 5~10분 거리에 있어 쇼핑, 식사, 학회 참석 등 모두에 편리한 위치였습니다. 서비스나 침대 등도 나쁘지 않았고, 책상, 1인용 소파, 냉장고 등 시설도 좋았습니다.

Very nice hotel in excellent location in downtown Vancouver. The hotel is very close to many shops and restaurants and also very close to the main shopping streets. Higher floors have excellent views. Spacious and clean rooms. Also close to skytrain station, so commuting to the airport is easy.

22階、English Bay方向の部屋、ロブソン通りに面した2 double bedの部屋に2人で 8/5から7泊しました。夕日がきれいでした。部屋には小型冷蔵庫があるので、自分で調理などをしようと思わなければ、十分な設備、十分な広さです。年配の方の宿泊客が多く、夜も静かでした。中心から中途半端にはなれているのが欠点と言えば欠点ですが、目の前に5番のバスが通っているし、交通機関を理解すると非常に便利です。ちょっと値段が高いですが、土地柄と夏期休暇の時期ということで仕方ないかなと思います。
