The location of this hotel was perfect for me -- incoming on The Canadian VIA Rail train and then outgoing the next day on Amtrak. The cab ride was about $9 each way. My son and I had a great stay. The hotel location was close to everything we needed. Super close to a sky train station as well. The staff were super nice and friendly. The restaurant in the basement was fast and the food was great! The elevator was out when we were there, but they had hired staff to carry opur bags for us. I will stay there again.

Very pleased with the hotel and its location. Small boutique type of establishment. Thought there was a continental breakfast with the stay, but was told I bought the wrong package. Perfect little precruise hotel! Within walking distance of the ship terminal and great night life. Would not recommend the pub next door though. They took advantage of us because we only had U.S. Currency and the food wasn't that great. The hotel was perfect and offered a terrific breakfast.

Great location; only a couple blocks from Canada Place cruise terminal and close enough to walk to Chinatown and Gas City - Vancouver highlights. Rooms were small, but adequate and overall the hotel was well-maintained. We did have problem night 1 with the tub not being clean and on return leg with a different room, the tub/shower water control knob […] was loose, which made adjusting the water temp a nightmare. Otherwise, all good, so a decent compromise, considering the price. Desk service was great - restaurant downstairs was nice - no bellhop, so move your own baggage, but they were great about early arrival and holding our bags securely until a room was ready. The hotel had a free shuttle to the cruise port. It was within walking distance to Stanley Park (for active people). It also is within walking distance of Old Town. The room was small, but there was refrigerator. (kind of reminded me of a European hotel)

I stayed at the Days Inn Downtown in Vancouver for my first business trip to Vancouver. I traveled alone, and found the hotel conveniently located near the Sky Train exit and entrance, the Convention Center, Gastown, Stanley Park and Robson Street. I showed up three hours ahead of schedule and was able to check in immediately. This is a budget hotel […] and the room was small, but the bed was comfortable, the hot water worked well, and there was an in-room heating/air conditioning unit. The mini refrigerator was great for storing leftovers from meals out as needed. The hotel also provided complimentary bottled water and wireless internet service (wired internet service is available as well, but be sure to bring your own ethernet cord). The location was great- it was a close walk to Canada Place, Gastown, Chinatown, Robson, Granville, etc., but was not in the heart of the nightlife, so it was quieter when it was time for bed. The location of this hotel is great. Most attractions in downtown Vancouver are either within walking distance or a very short cab ride away. Location also feels very safe and secure at night. This property is in a very good location and really easy to get to from airport or any other nearby cities. Bus and train stations close by as well as restaurants.The neighborhood is very, very safe. The amenities, cleanliness, size of the room and decor are all up to standards but not exceptional. The bathroom and toilet is of good size and very clean with ample supply of clean towels and basic toiletries except for toothbrush and toothpaste, which were not supplied. I arrived on a particularly rainy night, dripping wet and chilled but the front desk staff who checked me in did nothing to expedite check in or even commented on it. My friend and I went to Vancouver for a weekend celebration. We rented this two bed hotel room figuring we'd have to deal with privacy as best as we could. To our surprise when we walked into the room, it was two separate bedrooms with a door in between them. Each room had a TV - one with the bathroom and the other with the refrigerator. Went to Vancouver for an Industry Trade show and chose this hotel from Expedia because of the night rate, it's reasonable compared to other downtown hotels in the area. Very close walk to the Vancouver Convention Centers and the receptionist gave us some GREAT restaurant recommendations. A perfect locale, about 100 yards from the sea wall, which has running/walking and biking trails all the way to Stanley Park. Free Internet in the room was a very nice feature. There are sketchy areas in Vancouver, but this hotel was in the nicest area. They have a picture behind the desk of a time when the Day's Inn was the tallest building around, […] not the shortest. For comparison, it is about a 4 minute walk to the Hyatt. It's very close to metro. For those bringing a car, parking is very expensive. And there is no exercise room.
