"Great location for the price"
The hotel is nothing to write home about, but you can't beat that location for the price. And the view at the top is well worth it. Besides that the staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, I'm happy with my stay there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"You get what you pay for!"
Room was okay. Mold in shower. Very noisy due to wind. Fire alarm at 5:00 am. It took 15 min before announcement about false alarm! Also, hotel has a smell/odor that is not very pleasant. Do not recommend this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Small Hotel Room"
This hotel is located right downtown, but that's about all it has going for it. Our two-bed room was absolutely tiny. You could barely walk through the area between the foot of the bed and the wall at the front of the room. The bathroom was one of the smallest I've ever seen, and both the sink and the shower were clogged when we got there and took several […] minutes to drain (taking two showers in a row nearly filled the bathtub). The room's A/C blew hot air and the window only opened about five inches, so we were roasting the entire time. We also stayed at another hotel (also booked through Hotels.com) that was cheaper, but which was far roomier and significantly more comfortable. It was a little bit farther from the downtown area but the parking was free (overnight parking with no "in-and-out privileges" cost us a boatload here) and there was a free shuttle that took us downtown in about ten minutes, so the location of this hotel really wasn't worth the extra money and lesser quality. I would not recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"keep looking"
Room clearly needs updating and some cleaning. The revolving restaurant is over priced and you will be walking to get to the better part of town. I wouldn't consider this place a true downtown hotel. I'd keep looking the price isn't that good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great restaurant with great servers."
So, so. At check-in, the receptionist had no interest in finding us a bay view room, although we asked for one. I guess the cruise ship crowd deserves better service. Parking needs to be less confusing. Business Center prices rediculous. Hotel seems to be more interested in quantity than in quality. Hilton is the way to go.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not-so-jolly Canadians"
I found that the hotel staff were incredibly rude. At check-in, when I arrived a little bit early, they told me the room wasn't ready. I asked what time I could check in and the man, Jock, said "check-in time" without offering further explanation. Additionally, there were several interactions we had with other front desk staff where they offered a cold, […] brief response and did not at all seem welcoming or grateful for our business. They best beef up their hospitality training if they want to retain guests. On a more pleasant note, the hotel was in a great location. The rooms were spacious, though a bit run down. We weren't expecting much in this regard, though, so it was fine. Overall, thumbs down for Empire Landmark. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Perfect Central Downtown Location"
I found the hotel to be a great central location downtown on Robson. Easy walking distance to the water, its restaurants, and neighboring sights. The room is a little dated; but the view is great, and those beds are soooo comfortable. Great water pressure, not much on the air ventilation in the bathroom. Not bad a price for what you got!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Exactly what we needed"
Me and my girlfriend, both in our 20s, were looking for a hotel that was not too expensive and convenietly located in Vancouver. We both had never been there before so just went with what we read online. This hotel is super close to the beautiful Stanley Park and all of the popular places to go for a fun night out. We got an awesome view of downtown […] Vancouver and felt really safe. I'd recomend this hotel to anyone. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Avoid this hotel"
This hotel is disgusting. The room is old, dingy and the beds were rock hard. The balcony was so filthy you wouldn't want to step foot on it. Looked like it hadn't been cleaned in 20 years. Avoid !!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Empire Landmark, Vancouver"
i would definitely recommend this place, with a couple of minor criticisms: the wi-fi internet is not free (and more importantly, it's $9 per day, per device) and there is no complimentary breakfast of any kind (which isn't a huge issue, but the breakfast they DO offer is very expensive). the view from the restaurant is great. the location is excellent, […] and on the same street you'll a whole foods grocery and a larger mainstream grocery store. the view from our 11th floor room was nice, and no doubt it's even nicer higher up. it's several blocks from the sky train station, but not a bad walk at all. the rooms were satisfactory - nothing special, but clean and tidy, if a bit small. all in all, a well-maintained hotel in a very good location - not luxurious, but much better than several smaller hotels in the same area, especially for the price. "Empi re Landmark Hotel"
This hotel was excellent...except for the shower! All hotel showers usually suck, especially if you are in a regular room, but this ones water temp would go from cold to scalding hot in less than a second! I asked maintenance to look at it and it was a little better for the rest of the weekend but just be prepared! And even though the shower was that […] bad I would stay here again...and be sure to have dinner at Cloud 9! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not as good as it looks!!"
This is my first time ever writing a review for a hotel because I feel like I have to: + Location is great. Easy access to Stanley Park and lots of other shopping areas and restaurants. + If you get a room towards the top of the building and facing towards the front of the hotel you have a great view + Front desk experience was pleasant with friendly […] people Now the - - The room was not very clean. Bathroom tub corners were dirty, room tables were not clean, balcony was very dirty and after a while we even saw a bug in the bathroom. We called the front desk asking for a different room and we were told the manager would get back to us after 25 minutes. We were ready to head out so did not wait for 25 minutes. There was no attempt from the management to contact us regarding switching the room. Since we only had one more night there we did not bother contacting them again. I am not sure how other rooms are but the one's we stayed seemed like no one had stayed in there for a while (based on the info above and the smell of the room). I did see the low rating for this hotel but decided to take a chance due to its location. Next time I will probably take the reviews more seriously :) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"good old hotel"
It's an older hotel that is OK but getting a bit frayed around the edges. The location is very good & the views are great. The lines at the at the hotel front desk were constant due to not enough staff. Parking, Wi-Fi & a few other things are extra. The top floor rotating restaurant has amazing views, relatively high prices & mediocre food. The room […] was a bit tatty & the beds a bit hard. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Severely outdated and lacking comfort."
While this hotel was conveniently located near the Harbor, shopping district, and downtown, the luxury ended with location. The room was large, but beds were hard, old and uncomfortable. The shower went from scolding hot to freezing cold about every 10 seconds and required extreme talent so not to get yourself burned. The walls of this hotel are paper […] thin, and every voice in any room on our floor carried into ours. The front desk personnel were mostly unfriendly and seemed irritated to help us. The wireless internet was at a charge and hardly ever worked. When we complained about the shower, we were met with an insincere, "Sorry" from the front desk and no further help was given. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel -- on the map it seems perfectly located (which it is) but other than that, there was no reason to stay here. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Older furnishings - very very clean and staff very friendly Great location with shops restaurant and grocery stores a 3 minute walk away. 5 minutes by bus to downton from right outside hotel Only problem was the reception desk - only 2 people and a line of about 25 people. "Location but little comfort"
I chose this hotel because there was a deal that made it the one of the cheaper and better located hotels in downtown Vancouver. I'd also read that it has a great view of the rest of the city and the surrounding area. I got what I payed for, which is to say I did have a pretty good view (when it wasn't obscured by clouds) and the location was excellent […] and very convenient. However, the bed was rock hard and the room was very cold. I spoke to the front desk about increasing the temperature of the room (there was no way for me to control the heat on my own) and they said they would raise the temp for me, but I noticed (and the thermometer on the thermostat showed) no difference. I would consider staying here again if the price was right, but would look around quite a bit first. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location, but..."
The location and the views from this hotel were amazing. We parked our car in the garage and didn't see it again until we left two days later. The hotel is conveniently located next to Stanley Park and many great restaurants and shops — and is walking distance to other neighborhoods. My only complaint would be I expected more from the interior based […] on the online photos. They've added amenities (flat screen TV and fridge) to make the standard rooms a little nicer, but the overall appearance was dated. Also, the rooms aren't very well insulated, so we heard our neighbors when they were in the hall, and when they flushed the toilet or took a shower (this was a little irritating at 5 a.m. both mornings). However it was clean and safe, and a place to lay our heads at night — which is all we needed. We didn't go to hang out in our hotel, we went to hang out in the city and the hotel's proximity to everything made that possible. The upstairs revolving lounge was cool too, but it closed at midnight and the drinks were way overpriced (but, we expected this). Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Uncomfortable Bed"
The hotel location is good, near groceries, park, shopping center, and beach area. The room and bathroom are neat. My only complaint being in this hotel is the hard bed, it's similar to sleeping on the floor only you are elevated in a platform.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Empire Landmark in Vancouver"
The hotel was located in a good area. It was walking distance (although freezing cold) from a lot of restaurants, bars, shopping, the water front, etc. The room itself, however had two very small beds. Unless you are very close to the person you will be sharing a bed with, it is not recommended. They are definitely single beds if you want to havev a […] good night sleep. They also only had one pillow in each bed. Other than that, the room was a decent size and it was good for sleeping and getting ready to go out. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"not a good experience at empire landmark hotel"
I was not very pleased with our stay. We quickly checked in our small room and then headed downtown. On our way back, police come from every direction, stop and pull there weapons and run into this house kitty corner from the hotel. That was a bit unsettling. We go up to our room and notice the security lock is busted on the door. So request to be put […] in another room and was found another room. The bed was hard as a rock and it was very noisy. I had a reservation to stay another night and canceled it. I would not recommend on staying here. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Overrated, 3 stars at best"
Parking was confusing, both trying to figure out where to go and how to get to the hotel lobby from parking was not very straightforward. Internet capability (WiFi) was not that great either. "Empire Landmark in Vancouver"
It is a solid price performer. While not the nicest hotel in the downtown district, it is a high-rise affording beautiful views, and is in a very convenient downtown neighborhood with a variety of coffee shops and restaurants nearby. The cost of the hotel was less than half what a friend paid for another hotel just a couple blocks away - and while not […] as upscale as the other hotel, it was much better value.
