Located in Yosemite Valley Floor
Tucked right in the heart of Yosemite, below the towering majesty of Half Dome and Glacier Point, Curry Village cabins and Tent Cabins offer guests a unique and magnificent place to stay.
Curry Village, otherwise known around Yosemite as Camp Curry, still offers park visitors comfortable, inexpensive lodging right in the shadow of spectacular Glacier Point and Half Dome.
Yosemite National Park offers an excellent variety of fun and interesting activities and programs that reach far beyond nature tours and outdoor sports. Over the years, a number of interpretive activities have been created to depict the legend of the National Park through song, story, art and theater. These programs help to complete our visitors' understanding of this amazing national treasure.
Located throughout the village, these unique Yosemite cabins consist of a wooden frame, wooden floor, and wooden door with four sides of canvas and a canvas roof and fly and are equipped with cot style beds and an electrical light. Most of the tents are not heated.
Cabins are wood structures that are furnished with beds, a desk or dresser, electric wall heaters, electric lights and outlets, but no telephones or televisions.

"Very little comfort."
I didn´t really like this place much. Right, it is on a excellent location right in the middle of the Yosmeity park. But it is HUGE and confusing, there was a long waiting line to check in and it went really slow. The tents are large but overall it is not comfortable because you have to store all food, but also cosmetics in the box outside and bathrooms […] are also outside the tents of course. I believe the price is rather high for that. We actually stayed just one night instead of two and paid extra for a heated tent (which at the end of September you really need) - they arranged the change and upgrade al right, so that was fine. "Stay next to bears"
The tent was nice and clean, maybe the floor should be mopped. Curry Village location is very good and there are special rules when you stay in this place because of the bears ! It was unusual experience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Location, Very Uncomfortable"
The rooms could be more comfortable, the location is amazing but the beds just leave you with a back pain!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Poor bathrooms and showers"
The room is what we expected, a tent with a comfortable bed but what we didn't expect was the bathrooms and showers to be so dirty. I guess it was because we arrived late and were the last ones to shower for the night. The front desk told us the showers were closed from 10:30 pm -12 am for cleaning but I never saw anyone cleaning and we took ours at […] 12:00 am. The damage was definitely done and it left me wondering why we paid so much money for a tent and a dirty shower. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"What do you expect for Yosemite on the cheap?"
Curry Village is the classic Yosemite experience, altho probably the least comfortable next to the housekeeping camp (which I refer to as the hovels). But when the "real" campgrounds are already full - or you can't travel with your camping equipment - and you don't want to shell out the bucks for the Lodge much less the Ahwahnee, it's about all you […] have left if you want to stay in the Valley. It's sort of a tent city in the "wild" - wooden frame and canvas walls and ceiling, with a single light bulb - altho the "wild" left these parts many years ago. Best is the availability of (small) showers, plus decent dining options - and a pool if you're so inclined. Worst is that the 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. quiet time was not even close to enforced/adhered to while I was there, which made for a more unrestful night that even the creaky bed and thin mattress provided. It's nothing special, just a bed, a shelf, and a folding chair, but looking at the pictures of the cabins you shouldn't expect anything more than that in the first place. Great location in Yosemite Valley. Free shuttle service to valley locations. Don't expect a fancy place, but there's a bed to sleep on after a long day of hiking in Yosemite.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to hiking trails"
Convenient and practical. It serves its purpose for folks who just need a place to get rest/sleep before and/or after a long hike.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Too close for comfort"
Stayed in the tent cabins and service was ok but way too many tents too close together. Probably will be the last time in the tents due to the crying babies and drunk idiots coming back To their tents after quiet hours have begunGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location but dont expect a hotel experience"
Pro's: - location: if you want the camping experience in Yosemite but don't want to carry your own, this is great. Located right under the half dome, sights are amazing - shuttles: shuttles from curry village runs regularly to most sights to see. However, you should expect to hike to really see them Con's: - tents too close and noise policy not enforced. […] Chances are you will get at least one noisy neighbor so say good bye to sleep as you can hear everything - heat turned off in June but it gets COLD even in June at night. Carry your own blanket or get layers of clothes Overall, okay for one night. But, next time, I will get either camp out or get one of the other lodges. - Food prices and selection disappointing Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Sleeping in the Tents is an adventure"
Some cabins are cleaner than others... ours was not as clean as the one our next door neighbors had. Also, our neighbor had a mirror, our tent didn't and that would be nice to have in all of the places so you can put on makeup, etc. One thing to note is that you only get a light switch. There are no electrical outlets. You won't be able to plug in […] your iphone. All scented items, like deodorant, face wipes, etc. have to be put in the bear locker outside... this was unexpected... so bring a lock to lock your items over night because as they say when you check in, they are bear proof, not people proof. Lastly, bring a flashlight so you can find your way to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
It was a great place to spend the night cheap in one of the most beautiful places in this grand old country. We were gone all day long and came back took a shower to get ready for the rest of our evening. The bathrooms were very clean. It is very important to be quiet during the night as to not to disturbe the commuinity. I would do it again. The staff […] was so nice. "A step up from tent camping."
We stayed in a tent cabin. Of course, a tent cabin is not the same as a regular room in a building. We were off the ground on a wooden floor and the beds were comfortable enough. It is inconvenient to have to go for a walk to use a shower or a toilet, but that's to be expected in a tent-cabin experience. All of the staff were helpful and friendly.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Get here before dark"
We went round and round and had to call in security to figure out where our tent cabin was. We went for a midnight photoshoot and were able to checkin only around 1:30. For almost 30 mins we were trying to figure out where our room was. So, if you're planning to stay here, be sure to get there before the light goes down. Other than that, its pretty […] hard to give more than 2 stars for comfort of the room as its unheated and freezing! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I like curry village for its location . I've stayed there in the past and had great customer service. When I checked there was nobody in the lobby but the girl who checked me in seemed irritated that she had to help me. "A nice place to stay in the heart of the valley"
We chose curry village because of the proximity of the location. It is right in the heart of the valley and there are frequent shuttle buses right infront of the hotel to Yosemite Valley floor and other scenic spots. The heated tent cabins were barest minimum and the winter snow troubled us with the heater and power connection; the manager was very […] helpful and gave us a room instead which made our stay much better. I would say, if you book early and plan a trip in the summer, you will be fine with this place. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Curry Village heated tents - no frills"
We had the heated tent in Curry Village. They are very close together, so you can hear your neighbors. But the quiet time from 10 pm to 7 am is followed pretty well. The tent was clean, with plenty of blankets. No frills though.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Fantastic location but . . ."
The location of this hotel makes staying there worthwhile. However, customer service doesn't seem to be given much priority. We were disappointed in the buffet dinner which had food that seemed to have been sitting out for a few hours, even though we were the first ones in line. For example, the cakes were dry on the outside and the sauces on dishes […] had coagulated. Secondly, general use areas are not kept clean. The areas in front of the grill and the pizza restaurant are hosed down in the morning and don't seem to be cleaned again during the day. The tables at the village lounge where internet is available were all sticky every time we went there. All customers seem to clean up after themselves, but someone needs to wipe off the tables once in a while. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"great for Half Dome"
Curry Village is a basic tent camp experience. We stayed one night prior to climing Half Dome. It was perfect for that. I wouldn't stay there for a vacation experience. The tents are so close together you hear your neighbors turn over in bed, cough, and snore. This was also during the hauntavirus scare so they weren't at full occupancy.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Location, Location, Location"
Having stayed in lower end National Park properties in the past I had a good idea what to expect. You are here to see the park and the accomodations are for sleeping only. Curry Village is near everything in the park. They are quite bear conscious which is good. It is slightly above a camping experience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We were looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway in the woods and all we got were screaming children, drunk loud mouths and and snoring people in the tents around us. No one respected the 10 o'clock quite time rule and it was not relaxing or peaceful At all. The staff was very helpful and nice. We ended up leaving early and headed to a holiday inn.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Unheated tent, think twice.."
We stayed on 4/12/2012, in one of the unheated tents. It was raining very hard that day. Inside the tent was colder than outside. The tent was clean and spacious. The staff was really nice to give us extra blankets. I will recommend others to go their only during summer.Genuine Expedia guest review
Conviniently located in the Yosemity Valley. Booked a week prior to the trip. Normally needed 8-10 months reservation.Genuine Expedia guest review

Pros: Good location with views to both Yosimite falls and Half Dome. Cons: No barbecue in the facility.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Could have been better"
Check in process is a pain. You park your vehicle, get your luggage together to go to the check-in router. There, you are told your lodge is in different location, so you have to go back in the vehicle to drive to the lodge. Staff are check-in counter was not very friendly nor helpful. We arrived at around dinner time, and the only restaurant around […] (in the main lodge building) won't seat you unless you have reservation, and the available seating was limited. Waitress was not friendly either. Location is great, and the room was comfortable, but the service aspects has much room for improvement. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Curry Village in the middle of Yosemity Valley."
We knew it would be simple living i the tents of Curry Village. But it would certenly be convenient to have some woollen blankets in bed for the Autumn time!! It was freezing! Love from Anne-Marie and Soeren, Denmark!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"well, it's a tent, not a hotel...."
perfectly located in Yosemite Valley with a little frontier or boy scout romance it is nice, fitting, conveniently located but - it is no hotel or motel. It is in many respects more camping, featuring shared restrooms and showers, than a hotel/motel. But! the location and the surroundings are just too impressive. And if you do not mind of scaling down […] your expectations for a day or two, and want to add a little frontier feeling, this is the place. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beds are small and hard."
It is basicly a large tent with a small queen bed inside. We never had real problems with hotel beds, but this bed was really small for 2 people and was especially on the sides very hard. Why this has to be so expensive is not really clear to me. Looks like people are willing to pay a lot of money for sleeping inside Yosemite.Genuine Expedia guest review
well, do not expect too much. it is just the same as what you see on the picture. No surprise~~~ PS: it is really cold at nightGenuine Expedia guest review
Glamping The common bathroom and toilet facilities were pretty good for camping facilities offering shampoo, shower gel, toilet paper and soap. Not sure if the rooms could be much cleaner since they can't be vacuum cleaned.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good basic family campground in heart of Yosemite"
Tent cabins were simple accomodation that did the trick for comfortable digs during 3 days of hiking. would recommend an ipod to get to sleep as 'quiet time' enforcement hit and miss. we had a couple of nights of relatively early quiet then Mr and Mrs Noise moved in next door. Location can't be beat in heart of Valley and meals, basic supplies and transportation […] all available on site so very practical. Would recommend but don't come looking for luxury. "Enjoyed the stay due to location and quirkiness"
I chose Curry Village due to the location being directly in the park without paying an arm and a leg for it. I was expecting the tent experience and enjoyed that but I think that the fact we paid $100 for one night surely they could put some back into the bedding. The actual mattress was sitting on broken boards so we had a lopsided sleep which was […] extremely uncomfortable so basically no sleep that night. I think they are taking advantage that people want to stay in the valley without paying too much but I do not think they are putting back towards the tourists that come. A new board would not cost much at all! I loved the experience and setting as it made me feel like I was in the woods and being at Yosemite made up for it all...shame cause others will probably do the same thing. "Perfect location when exploring"
If visiting Yosemite it is the best place to stay. However it is very expensive for a nights stay in a tent. (we stayed 2) Tents should at least have a fan as heat was unbearable in them in the evening (It was almost 90 degrees!) and could do with a good mop! Not enough shower facilities. I had to queue for 40 mins. The resort is noisy at night but […] luckily I had brought ear plugs! Restaurants we’re expensive for what you got and everything closed at 10 so if like us you were late getting back from the trails there’s no food to be had!! Rough and ready fine for one night! "Great Yosemite base if your a happy camper!"
Our stay was in a heated tent in Curry Village, as we were there in April we were really glad it was heated! "Not for the faint hearted."
Accommodation was in a heated tent and was very basic but comfortable. Experience not to be taken lightly. Regulations regards food and cosmetics vis a vis bear safety were very strict and imposing. Nothing in the car or in the tent, every thing to be stored into the bear proof locker outside the tent. When your travelling over a long period it is suprising […] what you amass. "Very basic tents"
We had 2 nights booked but ended up only staying 1 night and leaving early. It was so cold and they only provided you with 2 thin blankets with a bed sheet. We had an unheated tent as this was all that was left. We asked for extra blankets and were given 3 more thin ones. Not really adequate for sleeping outside in minus 1 temperatures. It is what it is - old style camping spring beds, can hear your neighbors have "sexy time" which in our case was quite entertaining, oh and the snoring from ajecent cabins. "Location is key"
The tent cabin itself was what you would expect, a comfortable bed and not much else. The main problem was the number of toilets that were out of order during our stay and the bear box which kept out the bears but allowed mice to eat through half the provisions we bought for a hike. "Great base for exploring Yosemite"
This is ideally located for exploring Yosemite, there are 3 bus stops at this site which provide you access to all the other sites within the village for shops, restaurants, and bus stops for other tours. The check-in staff were very helpful and informative. The tent/cabin was more spacious than i was expecting and had a double bed, shelving unit, bedside […] table, mirror and safe. The downsides were that we were both bitten by tiny bugs many times during the night and woke up scratching all over and it was very noisy around the camp from 6am onwards making it impossible to sleep in. Also the toilets and shower block sometimes got busy so there was a queue at times. The buses ran every 10-15 minutes so you hardly ever had to wait and the drivers were helpful. All-in-all we enjoyed the stay, Yosemite is spectacular and Curry Village was well located for the things we wanted to do. Although it was very expensive per night it was worth paying this just to avoid staying outside of the centre and having to drive in. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

""Campingplatz" Curry Village"
